Be a man and crank your amp how it should be. that's GOD coming down and telling you to stop being a twat playing in piddles the pussmode.

Don't get me wrong as I love to crank my amps, but running at lower volumes is good for recording at home. I find when I crank my amp the walls of the house shake and things rattle. Which spills into the recording mic. So there is a practical use for an amps half power mode. But when playing for the sake of playing I say crank that fucker. :thumb:

I record everything at full concert level volume. It sounds far better. So hell with saving your good china from falling from the cabinets!

I don't give a fuck about the good china or anything else falling off the cabinets, that's for the missus to worry about. If she's concerned, she'll move it somewhere safe  I just give a fuck about rattling sounds spilling into my tracks.

I'm glad I'm not alone in my sentiments

I've been out of the room for a while, how's everyone doing?

Corey, Mr Grumpy sounds evil as fuck. Nick's been helping me put together a 300w build and I keep having to put it off  I need to just build the damn thing

Shit Kaos... all you had to say was your missus ain't about that shit.

and hell if you are recording at full volume... if something falls it's not bleeding over. I know because I've recorded guitar tracks with other bands practicing in my shed. you can't hear anything at all.

Hell you can't even hear them on the drum tracks in the quite before I even play. before I edit and clean you can actually hear the scratch track coming from the overhead speakers for how loud I have my headphones up so I can hear the guitar over my own drumming.

I dunno, some glass fell when I was recording and that pierced through my bass.

I've been playing my recently acquired RD lately and definitely decided I don't like the stock pickups. I still can't find humbuckers I bond with. Anyways, my buddy said he can get me a 20% off GC coupon in December, so I figured I would throw my spare BG Pure 90 in the bridge in the meantime tonight. I've played it before in my Ric, and my two other guitars have P90's, so I wasn't expecting much, but holy shit, something about it with this guitar just sounds so fucking perfect. Perfect amount of clarity, thickness, and strong mids. I didn't really want a third guitar with P90's, and I was considering selling this BG 90 I've had collecting dust for a while now. But now I don't even think I want to give any humbuckers a try.

Any P90 lovers/users have humbuckers that recommend I check out?

you need to play louder then shaun! also incorporate that glass breaking.

I don't care about people that like like Ghost... that's fine... what annoys me more are the people who like Ghost that insist they are a new savoir to metal, or some sort of groundbreaking band... Not that there are anyone like that here. I mean in general in dealing with others out and about. Those fans are annoying as shit. Like you can't even have a discussion with them.

Ghost is like a parody of what a church going midwestern mom from the late 70's thinks a heavy metal band is.

chiller I'd leave that P90 in there then maybe swap another guitar to hummers?

black winter / slug gets my amp melting vote.

:edit; but im not subtle AT ALL with tones so maybe wait for another voice of reason

Thanks, I do really dig this P90. I mean, I dig many P90's, they have been my favorite for a while. And really, all three of my guitars sound a bit different even though they all have them. So I might just leave it as is. Different enough to have variety, but close enough to use as backups without changing amp settings. So at this point, my options are finding a neck pickup that matches this P90, or still consider swapping humbuckers in there (and that would be mainly to have variety). Hold on, let me send some tequila shots your way

Dear Uncle Aaron,
I am writing to you today to request that your wife may consider taking mine into her finishing school, should there be any positions available...

I have one from Bareknuckle, it's really hot and loud.
The other one is in a jazzmaster enclosure, made by The Pickup Wizard. It's noisy. Eh.
And this humby sized one from BG, by far my favorite. He makes a soapbar sized one that's identicle.
