It's very probably not because of a hardware limitation (it's probably all coded on the same type of DSP) but because they want clear product separation. And that makes a lot of sense. really.

Don't these people at Eventide use a Spinchip SV1 anyways?

do you mean to tell me that all of their settings should be available on all of their pedals, at no additional cost?

I'd be surprised if Eventide used the FV-1.
And software development definitely has a cost, so it's perfectly justified to sell several products that are basically the same hardware with different software running on it.

It must be hacked. Lets get the clinton team on it!

Yeah exactly. Profit is for the weak. Give me all your spinchips or I'll end you.

there were a couple of spaces in Oslo, right?

They sounded pretty good.

Not a chance yeah. I was poking fuck at the heated discussion that took place a while back about builders using spinchips. It was epic.

Yeah, at least Brand's and UC's. I'll say it again, but it's my favorite reverb pedal ever. I can sit cross legged in front of it for hours turning knobs and finding new interactions and new weird sounds that inspire new music. I have like 40 of settings slots used right now with either stock sounds I liked or the result of my own experiments. It's fucking glorious and ended my quest for reverb. I have the Descent as well because I love the character and I keep it on my synth board. The OBNEs are a different story because they offer modulations/pitch/bitcrushy universes that you would need another reverb on top (in my situation the Space) to really enjoy for like deep pads and stuff.

TL;DR. Space is awesome. Get one or die without knowing the maximum wetness your genitalia can achieve.

Strymon does the same exact thing. Some bitch, some don't. I don't really care either way, I'd prefer separate pedal-machines for delay, reverb, and modulation than something like an M5.

Yeah as far as hardware goes RM-1N gets my vote for "favorite verb". Software is sort of cheating since you can do so much more with it that the comparison doesn't really seem legit.

Lets not have that discussion again. last time got rather vitriolic.

I haven't had a reverb in so long I don't even know where I'd go to one, I was thinking of those old Zoom verb stomps that are cheap and underrated, but then again I can just get myself a bitquest again and not worry about it. Or both, in true ILF fashion.

No. But to me it's not a reverb per say. Though I like that you can get it to go into springy swampy verb territory. it's more of a drone/oscillating/chaos machine. I could have mentioned the Waifu as well, which is another flavor of bitcrushed reverb. But I feel self conscious mentioning all the delays and verb I own when it gets brought up (15 in total)

Verb: Space, Descent, Dark Star, Procession, RM-1N, Waifu
Delays: Timeline, Black Fountain, DMM, INFANEM SEA, Koma BD-101, Pladask Gjengangar (thanks hubby), Paradox Oniric, Danelectro Fab Echo

If someone doesn't post a pedalboard picture by the end of the day, I'm gonna punch myself in the balls.

Maybe because I usually run drone/oscillating/chaos machines into it but I don't really use it for that purpose.
