100th post!
Before anyone asks, the monstrous thing at the top left is a power supply I built maybe two years ago when I first started getting back into pedals. It's getting relegated to a bench top supply as soon as I order something a little better suited for hiding underneath the board I think.
The swirly saturn looking thing is an ABYS switcher prototype thing I'm working on. It takes effects loops A and B and can do: A, B, A|B, A>B in series and B>A in series. Hence the S in ABYS.
I hope you guys like it!
Thanks, man... it's a goddamn great sounding guitar. Looks a little more blue in the pic because of Instagram, but it's Ocean Turquoise, which is pretty much my favorite ballpark of color. Came with a white guard but I swapped it out because it looked a bit too Jetsons-y.space6oy wrote:that jazz is hot.
Mostly just adding features for now. Right now it just has one output and a basic version of all the modes. I'm adding stereo out for two amps, switches so you can have trails from one loop or be loading the buffers in your delays and reverbs while just the other loop is on. That way when you switch them in they're already full of sound. I'm also trying to streamline the UI. You navigate all the modes with taps and double taps on the mode and toggle switches and I'm making it a bit more intuitive I hope, right now it's kind of confusing. You can also hold the switch down and just momentarily toggle to which ever setting you want. It's a lot of fun but needs some tightening up.popvulture wrote: Yay 100! That ABYS thing looks/sounds fucking rad. Need to know more, and by working on it do you mean you'll be selling it?
It's a clariclone with a repeats knob thrown in, mainly an excuse to try and etch more enclosures. My girlfriend and I have been hand painting them and then etching so we get "aluminum brush strokes." Getting it down has been a little tricky though. That's how the ABYS was done too, with acid that had been reused way too many times.space6oy wrote:what's the gray maze w/ the upside down case?
Thanks man! I'm actually really excited with how the newer stuff is coming out.space6oy wrote:still, nice!
I can't overstate how much I love the Ct5. So many sounds you can get out of it, so deep. Thought it was just kind of weirdo/fun/bleep bloop when I first got it, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it can be tamed into super pretty, musical territory.frigid midget wrote:Every board here that totally fits my style, makes complete sense for me and has at least a couple pedals that I also have...Also happens to have a CT5 on it. Makes me think it's a sefe bet to try one.
Not having any pedlol monies blows
Yeah, that's pretty much the impression I got after checking a bunch of clips and reviews. I'm sure it's worth the price tag, but I can't justify spending that much atmpopvulture wrote:I can't overstate how much I love the Ct5. So many sounds you can get out of it, so deep.
