Well I mean the other stuff is cool. I just don't recognize a few things and I don't have my glasses on. haha
ILF isn't a formula based place, so all are welcome!

Not having any pedlol monies blows

well. you know, just because the pedals fit your style doesn't mean the music made with them does?
not sure which boards you're referencing but for most of the jams i'm making with mine i use delay an modulation almost exclusive on clean part OR to make occasional weird sounds.
i keep a dispatch master out in front because inter arma uses them out in front of their JCMs and they sound like BAMF and i wasn't using the dm otherwise so it's a nice little change of pace for me.
i use almost all of my other pedals (phaser excluded) to net specific textures. the bit quest gets used sometimes in a dirty setting, usually after a palm mute that pauses for a beat so that the bit crushed delay can add something to the sonic spectrum.
i had a goodbye 24 and think that i sold it because i just wasn't finding away to make it work. then i wanted to pickup a ct5 and was in GAS mode on and off and this forum was the impetus behind that. then 856 and pretty years were both released and i wanted to have something new so i just snap bought one of the ct5s when they got released. it's great for the sound making stuff but i'm not sure how and where i'll be able to apply it otherwise quite yet. only time will tell.
the good news is that scott and co. seem to be putting more of the ct5 in production so second hand prices have been better and when the time comes you can pick one up. if it doesn't work for you then flipping it should net minimal losses.

This is a very ILF board. Good fuzz, good oscillating modulation, good attitude towards fun and functionality; all around a great board

Solid plan. PS-3 has been on my list for a while now. Seems like the word is out though, I'm having a hard time finding one sub-$100.
Used to have a DD-5, sold it cause I only used the reverse mode, and just assumed there's be dozens of other delay peds out there that could do the exact same reverse effect as well as a bunch of other intersting stuff. Turns out I was wrong, so now I want another DD-5

The mm w/ hazarai comes close I guess, but considering the pricde it doesn't do a whole lot more than that reverse effect

I can't overstate how much I love the Ct5. So many sounds you can get out of it, so deep. Thought it was just kind of weirdo/fun/bleep bloop when I first got it, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it can be tamed into super pretty, musical territory.
Yeah, that's pretty much the impression I got after checking a bunch of clips and reviews. I'm sure it's worth the price tag, but I can't justify spending that much atm
Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but if you (or anyone else) knows what the next best thing is that costs considerably less: Lemme know plse

The Rainbow Machine was touted as an alternative for a while (mostly in the GB24 era):

When a local barcade first opened, I semi-drunkenly tried to figure that game out. Either it's hard as fuck or I'm a really dumb drunk.

it's tough. but i'm far from pro when it comes to games that aren't RPG.

Yeah it's a super challenging game, like a lot of arcade gems from that era.
Rainbow Machine would be an interesting alternative, though same price and not as versatile. Mode 2 on the Ct5 is hard to compare to anything else...I guess mode 3 is, too.

I would highly advise against finding a sub for the Ct5; it would be so much more worth it just to save for a while than to buy something not up to par. So unique/wide range of applications... pretty hard to match.
