A killer EP is always way better than an OK full length.

Zozobra's Savage Masters is a fucking prime example of how to get shit done in the "short album" format.

It's also what I did with most of my earlier OLD MAN GLOOM albums, I have burned cdrs of just the songs without the noise and ambience. Rages even harder now. like their last few been good rage constantly. but like meditations in B and what not... little too much noise.

politely going to disagree with you there, but that's totes a taste thing. If I shorten records like that and listen to them they just don't feel paced correctly, to me.

Old Man Gloom's facebook page is pretty much my favorite, though.

I do the same thing with some albums. Cut out the filler/ambient/noise tracks and still to the stuff I like most. Sometimes it's cool and I'm in the mood for it, but not usually for casual listening.

I hate when a band has a 30-40 second intro or interlude track before a song that really rages, and the intro track will come up on shuffle and right when I get pumped it cuts off and ends up being a different song.

JUST MAKE IT PART OF THE SONG

Fuck me, what a week. So last weekend a dude attempted to mug me, luckily I was drunk and went full Tasmanian Devil on his as. Kept all my shit, and gave him the boots a couple times. Since then I have been at various doctors all week and it turns out the fucker broke my jaw. The best part is, my band has our record release show a week from tomorrow. So now I am stuck here on a liquid diet for 3-4 weeks and can't even smoke or drink. The show must go on though, and it will broken jaw or not. Going to be an interesting show and party though, since I can't really get super active on stage or headbang or anything. I don't even get to look like Jaws with a metal mouth or anything, the docs are letting it heal on its own. Suppose that's a good thing, but still. /endrant

Yup, pretty much. Kinda like when Bongripper took out the noise stuff from Hate Ashbury. Wasn't nearly as good.

Also yeah their FB page (run by Santos) is my daily laugh got to.

I've decided that I need a red knob Concert Lead to add to the mix. Watched that old Beta Lead VS Concert Lead video and the Concert sounded killer in comparison. :CraigslistSearch:

What's the perfect guitars/pedals/amps/cabs ratio? I'm at around 2.5/13/1.75/1. Needs more amps and cabs for sure.

Lol I figured .5 guitars was a guitar that's not working due to something (strings, pickups, jack out etc.).

I'm at 4/14/1.7/3
