all black board is completely killer and would completely confuse me.

I don't function well when I don't know what a knob does

Honestly dude what I want to do is commission a super long skinny enclosure and stick it at the back of the board. I have about 1.5" that I could use to build out an aux switch for the Eventide, a 1590A-sized looper (Mooer/Ditto) that I build/rehouse into the enclosure, and/or a 3.5mm patchbay a la the BB Patchulator. But I think I could reasonably only do 2 out of 3. And I'm not sure which 2...

Anyway, thanks--I may take you up on that. That would actually work better than a Ditto because of the Ditto's weird-ass TC enclosure. Do you have a gutshot of the Mooer?

EDIT: Ah, the Mooer has a weird ass-enclosure, too, but I may be able to work with that.
Just a regular 1590a

Laughed.

How do you even navigate the knobs on the pitch factor with it all black? But it all looks dope!

I actually had a really hard time with Eivind's board for this reason: the etches look amazing but it's really difficult to dial in the sounds you want when you don't know what's what.

Form over function.

But seriously: the display tells you what every knob is when you move it. And I really don't use all the algorithms, so it isn't that hard to figure out/remember.

Also: there's a part of me that really likeS that no one else could figure this out. It's just for me. Ditto for painting it black/ruining it--THEY BELONG TO ME.

Ah, I thought there were a bunch of weird doors/compartments on it. WRONG

Thanks for the makeover, hotknife. It is an improvement.

it is cool that nobody else could grab your board and just use it

cool for you....the rest of us who want to try your board are a little bummed.

If I ever were in a position where I could try it I would want advanced notice so I could make a map of all the knobs

Yeah not be a smartass or dummy, but
1)FFF isn't tough; I have them memorized.
2) Mini is dead simple to remember; well laid-out.
3) Pitchfactor is a pain in the butt, but the labels don't really help much anyway, as they change in every mode, and the display tells you everything you need to know as you adjust them.
4) BitQuest is complex even with labels. Tone, Mix and Volume are the only consistent ones--the others are labeled '0,' '1' and '2.' Not a great help without memorization or a cheat sheet.
5) Ct5 has them stamped in the enclosure.

if that bitquest breakdown existed a few months back I might have kept mine

on my pitchfactor I have the Morello at about 60%
