Not exactly MY music, but I really love jamming with these guys. Too bad that it's been a full year since our last monthly jam session.
I was behind the camera in this video of a harbour tour of the regular musicians in 2013. The song snippets were recorded by the same camera at open air jams in the same year. I play organ in the first one and bass guitar beginning at
0:36 and beginning at
2:58 (one of my favourite moments in our
HFN Jam history).

This week I've tried something new, recording parts of my earlier YouTube pieces (I deleted all the raw files, completed pieces and videos after uploading them, because it amused me to do so, which means they only exist on YouTube) and then mucking about with them in Audacity using methods I've adopted more recently.
So five of the eight tracks on the album above are re-purposed old pieces and I've done another five for the next one.
It's been a while since I listened to the old stuff, and it's fun to take my own completed work and mangle it up even more !

I spent some time today running my Tenori-On through my current set up.

No work still, so the 2021 total currently stands at 20 albums, 144 tracks.
Way too much, I know.
I am still having a lot of fun making them though, so I might as well ride the wave while I can

A bit shy to do this but well fuck it why not. Did these tracks in my basement a couple weeks ago. Used Terrence Mckenna's spoken words for vocals. Thought the vibes were cool.
Might also post some modular stuff in here if cool things happen. Never mastered tracks or anything before so any tip could help.
These were meant to be demos or just ideas to be worked on, which I still might do with people I jam with but I found the process really slow so far so I did these all by myself to have freedom and be quick, giving us some actual stuff to record properly but yeah not easy during covid.

The Billows: more folky vibe
Larger Organism: lofi organ vibey really simple song
Something we See: jazzy, droney

I dig, esp Larger Organism. Would go well with some low-key, hushed vox.

Thanks!
I gave yours a quick listen. Real cool experimental stuff. Having a band and doing stuff live together can really produce interesting results when everyone is on the same page

I miss doing that with my jam buddies. Next time we play I might bring the zoom H8 to record properly in case good stuff comes out of this.
Althought more traditional songwriting in my experience is way easier when done alone. Too much opinions and nothing gets done
