A sticky in the B/S/T about deals going wrong. There is some bad stuff going down with a particular ILFer whom is not sending his half of the trade. It is BlindToFaith that is stiffing people. We know of 2 people that he is fucking over, and we know he tried to get somebody else yesterday, luckily those of us on another forum (particularly JWAR) spotted the pedals listed because BtF offered them to him in a trade. I have messaged BtF on FaceBook, telling him that he should check his PMs on ILF. He checked his PMs and did not respond to a person whom he has ripped of, then he attempted to "trade" with DarkBarn for a Megalith. BtF has not messaged or replied to messages about these 2 situations that we know of for 7 weeks!
If a sticky was posted about bad deals, at least the party that is responsible could read what is openly being said about the deal, and have a platform to reply on to publicly clear their name if they make every thing right (example, my computer broke, and my mom died, sorry I was out of touch for 2 weeks, the pedal has been sent). I get really pissed when people rip off musicians, especially on this small fairly closeknit board. I sell stuff cheaper (if I can afford it, even if it is just $5 sometimes) on ILF than I do on TB because I enjoy this board and the people on here a lot. The one troubling issue is the lack of accountability for things like this happening. Granted, this sticky idea may not save the first "victim" but it could provide damage control to prevent it from happening to multiple people.

I've been in contact with BtF. I've had dozens of good trades with him, it really blows whatever is going on with him. I wasn't going to say anything, but he's neglected to send a pedal back to me for over a month. Love the dude, he's busy and going through some things, but I agree that something's gotta be done

Well, what is the kicker is that he actively sought out another trade yesterday. That takes it to another level of maliciousness for me. Either way, going through something or not, 7 weeks is very unacceptable.

He just got back to me and is sent out my Cathedral in the post yesterday, thankfully. I think he just needs a break from B/S/T until he can keep up his side of things. He's a good dude at heart, but things have gotten a little out of hand

Well some Drug Addicts have good hearts and intentions but rip off their family.
I am no fool, people can be addicted to ALL kinds of things and it seems like BtF has a pedal problem of some sorts. I agree he should take a break from the B/S/T. I personally will never deal with him again, which is a shame because we like similar pedals. I am also sure that a lot of other people won't deal with him again either. Mistakes have consequences.

I am inclined to agree and also got jammed by BTF: Unfortunately the problem with a sticky about issues like this is that you are guilty till proven innocent. For example you may send someone a perfectly working pedal that they just don't like, and they would have open season to blast you for it.
I think moderators would have to filter all the post all the time for it to not turn into a mudslinging party.

I can see that is a danger, so then maybe a Mod would have to approve a post there, the "accused" is contacted by a Mod and informed that there is something up. I mean some sort of procedure would need to be in place.
There would have to be some warning about buyer/trader remorse not being acceptable, and that if a pedal is broken upon arrival then work toward getting it fixed before running to post in that sticky. In reality, people on here tend not to be mudslingers, I think most people are great to deal with and are not out to get anybody. So the use of this thread would really need to be taken seriously, and I think it would be used sparingly. I mean some people are just now starting to come forward about BtF because they DIDN'T want to sling mud and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I agree with this completely, if it is moderated well we could avoid some lost pedals.
I think yours and mine disappeared at the same time.

I got mine (I just feel strongly about this subject), I think Nieh didn't get his.
JWAR got his after a LONG wait.
Apparently SkullServant had a long wait as well and was just messaged by BtF that his pedal shipped yesterday.
In fact there was a triple trade thing where BtF, didn't tell people that they were paying someone else (JWAR), yet he didn't send out the pedal to complete the deal but because the money showed up they sent their pedal out on a cash plus pedal deal supposedly from him. IDK it is kind of a mess. But it was JWAR and Nieh in that deal. At least I think Jake on FB is Nieh on here.

Mine was a 3-way trade as well. Lesson learned: no 3 way trades. Never ends well. Finish all transactions before you start a new one!

yeah the three way trade is kindof a mess plus you are selling something you don't own, which is always a bad idea
