Sound good! and pretty different from what I'm used to listen to but it's got a nice super relax vibe :)

Just recorded another experiment, did a simple ''tape loop technique'' where you make 2 different lenght loops so they bring up a variation everytime it plays. I also added a simple bass line behind and some drum with probabilities on the closed cymbals/shaker sound to add a little variety. Never tried that before (2 drifting loops), might want to explore that a bit more, this was a simple but good exercice. The recording/mastering sounds a bit better then my 2-3 previous ones too I think. :)

Posted a little compilation of the best-sounding 'pop' songs from the last six years of my KRUDLER demos: https://krudler.bandcamp.com/album/best ... -2015-2021
New and improved mixes, still lots of noisy textures and hooks. No narrative through line to this collection, other than the meta-narrative of starting out aiming to do a weirder/noisier thing, then slowly succumbing to the nostalgic urge to be back in a "band" that "rocks". :idk:

Two Zoias and a Fabrikat on this one.

So if I wanted to give something a listen...either a focused listen or just pop something on in the background to not really pay attention to...got any recommendations? I'd love to check something out, but an artist as prolific as yourself, I imagine would pump out stuff that varies widely in quality in your mind -

tl;dr - toss me a few favs to check out

Hi!

Gonna post this here as well: This is our new (and first!) music video!

We're Matilda Hugo & the Magical Fever, and we play pretty much everything we want from 70s disco to modern stoner with a bit of jazz thrown in there for measure as well.

This is our first single from our first album that's going to be released sometimes during fall 2021. Hope you enjoy!

I got some good responses when I posted my band's first single here like a year ago. We just put out a new one. Mastered by Alan Douches who's worked on Converge, Every Time I Die, Mastodon, and loads more. It's sludgy noise rock stuff. Everything is loud.

I haven't posted here in forever, but I'm starting to move back into guitar stuff after going whole hog into modular for years.

I just put out a new short album that's a bit of a farewell to modular. It heavily features the Lyra 8, DFAM, and then 6U of assorted percussion and others bits, but probably most prominently the R*S Resonant EQ. The Lyra, DFAM, and Res EQ are staying.

Just released my new album. Kinda lazy indie folk with synths, lol
Check it out if you need some light blue wind in your ears

I popped a few things on while doing yardwork this weekend and I really dug what I listened to. No idea what I picked but it was all good!

Here's album #53 of 2021 (despite me taking few weeks off).

https://sonickoalas.bandcamp.com/album/ ... e-its-gone

I'd say that most of them are good for listening to while doing something else - I like going back and listening to one or two in the morning while browsing the internet - especially the more recent ones (I think), though that's not my primary aim when making them.

I listened to a couple of the early ones from last year the other day and was surprised at how different they are, as at that time I was using all sorts of things to generate the sounds going into the pedals i.e. vocals, midi keys, harmonica, drum machine and Tenori-On.

So while lots of the recent recordings have been guitar only, I'm going to go back to some more variety over the next few albums to spice things up a bit :)

Thank you :)

It's always nice to hear that people have listened and (hopefully) enjoyed.

I'm still just using the two Zoias at the moment, and a recent firmware upgrade seems to be sparking a whole lot of new patches, which is great news.

I also discovered that Akai make a midi controller which can be hooked up to a Zoia for easier adjustment of parameters on the fly, which might be interesting.

The only "downside" is the need for an intermediary pedal as the controller midi out is USB and the Zoia midi in is Mini TRS.

This could be achieved by the purchase of at least one Poly Beebo, which makes for a second excuse (other than they seem to be really good) to buy one.

The Beebo is incredible and has received so many updates since I got it. Most recently they added an EDP modeled looper so kinda game over if you ask me. I can use it just for the looper and it was worth it. So much to learn though.

Are you preferring your 2 zoias over the army of music stands? Pros and cons of the zoias vs a zillion things...?

For now, yes.

There's a lot less clutter and fewer things to dust !

Having said that, I've thought about selling a few things but don't feel ready to, so I don't think I'm finished with music stands :)

The downside is that I've only got one patch into another rather than lots of pedals on at once, but there are so many sounds in the Zoia that it hasn't bothered me yet. Adding a Beebo would make a huge expansion to available sounds without taking up a lot more room so it's possible one (or two ;) ) might be all I need.

It might be that I reduce things to maybe one or two stands at a time, or I might end up selling the Zoias and going back to four stands again, it's nice to have the choice I guess.

More new music, made in a slightly different way using some old (but fairly recent) wav files.

https://sonickoalas.bandcamp.com/album/ ... e-chimneys

I thought I'd deleted everything from my YouTube stuff but found a DVD with some very old (2018 ;) ) wav files on the other day (not listened yet) which I might apply some of my more recent processes to out of curiosity - if it isn't terrible it'll be uploaded, like everything else :thumb:
