I sold for Romferd because I only used it for the metallic aspect and I was normally trying to mask the vibrato. I then missed the metallic clang, so I picked up the Solen because the Mod knob on the two is supposed to be similar. It seems to be similar, but it is hard to get the Mod as high in the mix as on the roofers. Solen and Echo Degrader seem somewhat similar to me. Echo Degrader has a lot more control and ability to have it sit in the back of what you're playing and just make things prettier. Solen is harder to keep consistent, it gets a lot more pronounced as you strum harder vs pick single notes and stuff, which I kind of love. For my lame indie songs that I always write, I leave it on all the time and it is just a subtle little mushiness through the verse then really makes the chorus huge as I strum along. I can easily see having both and liking it, but for my simple taste Solen seems like the better option.
Thanks! :thumb: Appreciate you going into detail, especially on the Romferd. There is something so cool about the Solen's simplicity and the interactive/dynamic aspect of it is really rad. Maybe you will find the Dunk Tank appealing after all. :D Mellowtone's prices are always on point too.

Everything below two o' clock feels like your typical amp reverb, and everything over that feels enormous. Feels like a really well thought out design.
I think a lot of that is from the input/output transistors (beyond your standard BDTR-2 verb layout).
From the little I've managed to figure out , it looks like the transistors are laid out similarly to the Wolf Computer.
Interesting. :snax:

And agreed 100% wfs1234.

The Endless Summer MKII is the only hand-wired, real spring reverb in pedal form on planet Earth.
not true, van amps sole mate. :thumb:
And Spaceman Orion...
And screwminfx uverbia
And Dano spring king
And tomkat tanker
I think the distinction here is that Recovery stuff typically doesn't use PCBs, and therefore might be the only "hand-wired" spring reverb pedal in that sense (also his wiring is notoriously uh....wiry). Not familiar with the Tomkat or Uverbia, but the Orion is definitely PCB, and I'd be shocked if the Danelectro weren't as well.

I didn't realize we were taking "no pcb's". I thought we were only talking analogue reverb

I hate PCBs the same way I hate non-steam cars.

Yeah, I mean I'm just trying to parse the dude's marketing speak, I was taking hand-wired to literally mean hand-wired, but who knows.

PTP seems to be a very limited market. Now it's cool as shit when done right like Creepy Fingers has done in the past. I've never tried any Recovery stuff because it looks way overpriced for what it is. Then again, what the fuck do I know?

Basically, the only good PTP pedals are Tonebender clones.

I didn't realize "hand wired" meant non-pcb either, but yeah—I pretty much agree with you on that last bit. There's certainly something pretty neat-o about having a tagboard pedal, but it leaves a lot of room for inconsistency. So, the simpler the better for going that cork-sniffery route.

this is my noise band setup, the keyboard stand is great as it lets me have the theremin at hand level rather than at my feet and it can go through my big board aswell using the es-8 to switch the input per patch so super easy to go between!
