I'm all about your Broadcast settings. Running at 9v?

Thanks! That's the 24v version so, no. I used to have a 9v version but sold it when I got this one. I also have the dual foot switch version on my band board. Favorite dirt pedal ever? Maybe. They all sound awesome.

Ah nice. I really dig having two footswitches and it sounds kickass at 18v. I haven't got a power supply that'll give me 24v but I'm pretty happy with how it is at 18v. I leave it on all the time and kick on the high gain mode as and when.

There was somebody on the Hudson IG account who got them to put a switchable charge pump in one, part of me thinks switchable 9/18/24 would be cool just to have extra options.

That's a great idea. Yeah, I really liked the 9v version at 18v, and in general. I used it on my guitars on the Difficult record linked in my sig (right side).

Every time I put a big board together I get overwhelmed, been running this one for a few months now and have been completely satisfied. Not really a fan of chorus, but the Dimension C has changed my mind about that, maybe because it sounds like an old flanger.

Acquired the Rat recently after a friend told me it sounded like hot garbage, took it personally as its my favorite distortion, but he was right. Apparently ProCo let quite a few units go around 2003 with "C100K" pots, so if any of you have Rats, or Turbo Rats in the 260,000 S/N range that sound like shit, thats why. Can't seem to find anything online that points to this as an issue. Placed an order with Smallbear, and all is well.

Thanks, I've tried it pre and post dirt, I mainly use it clean, or with the 808. The Rat is set for destroy and only stack that with the Maxon. Running all this into a Verellen Coop and I couldn't be happier with the tones I'm getting.

Using a Yellow Faded SG, American LaCab Tele, and an old Stella H912 12 string fitted with a Dearmond Model 40 for fiddles.

tell me about this Valeton pedal - you're using it for volume but does it do regular TRS expression too?

It does, allegedly: http://www.valeton.net/html/en/index.ph ... ad&did=209

Although I haven't tried it that way yet, for no good reason really! They're $50 new, which seems a little much for something so small and plastic, but there isn't much else on the market offering that functionality at the same size or price point.

Home board for guitar and bass, mostly plugged into a mixer with an AMT O2 in the loop for speaker simulation.

VP Jr. > Hudson Broadcast > TB Looper (Superego [Korg Chorus > Valeton mini volume pedal]) > Malekko Charlie Foxtrot > Jero Centaur delay > Lotus Golden Echo

Pedalboard is an Old Soul board I had custom made to fit a Harbor Freight tool case. Golden Echo is set to a barely noticeable slapback, but it's mostly an end-of-chain preamp since it has a fantastic, warm, natural boost. TB Loop is always on so I can fade the Superego in and out and don't have to deal with the wretched EHX buffer. Jero's Centaur delay was the missing piece to this, that pedal fucking rules.
Lookin good :thumb:
...You should try running that korg with a dummy cable in the extra out :hobbes:

This is fucking hot.

Also, that may explain why i never liked the RAT i had.

Yah, the "C" curve pots basically make it so that all the useable range of the pot is between 7 and 10 o'clock, makes it hard to dial in a good sound. They're fairly easy to spot, as it was around the time ProCo was in a transitional period, and started utilizing the slope style boxes. These pedals are still U.S. Made and use the older ProCo style knobs.

I got mine for free, pulled the board and everything tested fine, then pulled a pot and "bingo"! Installed mojo chip, green led, beefed up the power filter cap and then retired my mid 80's Rat as they both sound about identical.
