Liquid Sky and Apple Pie (both on Prime Video) are 2 low budget, absurdist gems from the same era with plenty of subpar acting and quirky one-liners.

IN FABRIC from 2018. it's not actually a bad film but it has lot of exploitation/b-movie/cheap campy horror elements. plus, julian barrat and the tall lass from GoT!

LIQUID SKY is such a great film! I was so happy they did a restoration of it!

Been into low budget mafia movies. Not so much about the rise and fall of people, but the associates. The people out earning. Not the big bosses.
I watched this guy the other day and... it was quite good! Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent's first film (you would know him as Phil Leotardo in THE SOPRANOS, the shine box guy in GOODFELLAS, and Frankie in CASINO).

This was shot in Jersey and I'm pretty convinced, when my Dad took me to the birthday parties of his friend's kids. Pretty sure I was in some of these interiors. This would have been the mid-90s so, it's not that far a stretch that none of the interiors were updated.

It's not my favorite but it's not the worst. Those early Peter Boyle roles are so clutch. You ever see THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE? Another low level mob movie. "Guys doing a job."

Also, THE TOWN (the Ben AssFace movie)... great fucking film! Highly recommended. Watch it with your kids actually.
