A Year Of ILF: A Retrosplorktive
Hello. It's my ILF birth/death day. How annular. I've tried maybe thirty different fuzzboxes in the last year, and all of them were relatively fun. Only six or seven of them really stuck out, and those ones will remain in my possession indefinitely. My favorite find was the bottomless well of fuzz that is Fuzzhugger(fx). Tom, as if you didn't know, is a truly great builder, artist, and DUDE. He's crafted a few custom boxes for me, and I will continue to stay ABREAST of his creations. I am sad that I seemed to have missed the Mellowtone heydays, and I'm sure I'll have a Singing Tree again at some point.
Other than that... yes, I have reached my limit. I've tried everything that I thought I'd like, mostly trying to find THAT fuzz... until the search started getting hopelessly redundant. I also found that my first instincts were usually correct in regards to hearing/seeing a demo of a particular fuzzbox and immediately getting an audio boner. Too much research into a pedal, for the most part, ended up being disastrous in the end, and the worst part was anticipating a pedal being delivered, checking the tracking status, lustily plugging it in... only to find in the first few minutes of tepid rocking that the damned thing just wasn't up my ass. I of course use the term "up my ass" propitiously.
As for ILF: I realized the other day that I hadn't touched the book I'm currently reading (Brief Interviews With Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace) since before Christmas. I also noticed that my posting on this board had been increasing exponentially since the first of the year, 2011. THUS: I gotta go. This is the coolest and most helpful forum I've ever been a part of. Kinda weird how no one on this board is an asshole.
Here is a list of threads of which I am proud:

Maybe you're not a thread killer, so much as you showed up late to the orgy and everyone has already shot their load...
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, God said, "Let there be Lips!" And there were, and they were good, and the lips said...
