Unfortunately I'm only going to get 5 minutes with today's stuff since the wife is going out of town in two days (when I'll have a week of nothing but playing!) but all I did was turn the drumbrute on, mess with some settings, ran it through the Culture Vulture, Electronaut pre and a shadow hills mastering compressor and got it sounding huge and dirty! I can tell once I separate the outs appropriately and run them to their own effects and get the settings how I like for each drum sound this is going to kick ass! I also just turned the Rendez-Vous on and played something on top of the drums after a few seconds of tweaking and even in this iPhone clip you can tell the quality of the sounds coming from this thing!

I'll post some actual good clips after I spend a little time with both of these but just wanted to share my excitement.

Right? I can't wait to actually record something proper with after learning them both but even the crappy iPhone audio could pick up the quality going on here. The drumbrute was PUMPING in the room after running it through that chain. Normally i'd do a lot of that parrallel to keep it more dynamic but for 60 seconds of play time with it, not bad at all! And the Rende-Vous... i just turned a few knobs and there that sound was. Can't wait to dive in further and see what else I can find in there.

Finally have one of these incoming:
If it's on par with the Pale Mare, my Muff search may be nearing its conclusion.

Got my Metalzone today and it's fucking awesome.

First time ever trying one. Industrial and mean. It can even cop wanky 90s Gilmour toanz too. Approaching it the same way I do a nasty fuzz or something like the Driving Notion has yielded a lot of fun results. So glad I finally bought it!
And, as always,

to all the cool and impressive shit on the last few pages.

Someone is selling this beaut in a city close to mine. Anybody got experience with Aria basses, 80's ones? I know I just stated in another thread that I wouldn't be getting a new bass, but I'm incredibly weak and this is gorgeous and reaal cheap. I'd also have to live off pasta and ketchup next month, but ain't that half the fun?
