My dad does this thing where, whenever I get a new guitar or mention that I haven't played one for a while, he says "you should sell it" and it's like, why the hell? A lot of my favourite stuff is a bit unusual and/or I got it for a good price, so if I wanted to buy it back I'd be at a disadvantage. The other thing is that
he's always going on about buying cheap POS guitars, like Chinese kit guitars or discontinued but undesirable squiers, but he never does anyway! Only ever plays his 90s US strat. If I needed money I'd sell some of my stuff but I don't need to and I like having it.

That actually seems like so much fun. Sampling from vinyl and stuff with a dj mixer also looks like a lot of fun.
Can we also appreciate that I haven't bought a single piece of gear in 2017 yet
