The blue one is an etched warped vinyl

How's the Blackstone? I've been curious about those lately even though I can't really justify it. And where did you get those neat little patch cables?MechaGodzilla wrote:got a bypass looper to run the verb before overdrive, but the jacks were tight so i splurged on some squareplugs. all good now
Aw yis. Less is always more. Do ever use the GR and Rat together? I really need to get off my arse and build one.ratrod wrote:Here's what I'm working with:
Drop sent my 7 string to the chopping block, black knobless job is a Chicago Stompworks Green Ringer, orange guy is my trusty homebuilt Rat, Memory Toy has the gain trimpot cranked for boost+delay.
The blackstone is really great for that [groan] edge-of-breakup amp sound. It compresses a fuzz nicely, it cleans up like a fuzz face, but the tradeoff is that it's a bit fussy about buffers (hence the looper!)Snufkino wrote:How's the Blackstone? I figured it was some kind of CBA. However, I was really wondering about the "shit data" and "BLK DRN" (is that what it says?) pedals.JonnyAngle wrote:The blue one is an etched warped vinyl

actually, i'd be totally into a single channel blackstone clone with treble/bass/presence controls or something. although, one of those AMT preamp pedals is probably pretty close to that.MechaGodzilla wrote:The blackstone is really great for that [groan] edge-of-breakup amp sound.
