Even if I enjoy Weezer, I have the chorus of "the beginning of the end" stuck in my head since 3 days and it's driving me nuts.

i woke up with this in my head, which was nice. i did listen to Ágætis byrjun a couple of weeks ago, but that didn't set it in there. it could have something to do with me listening to the Sæglópur EP and Valtari before i went to sleep as i do most every night. in any case i love this track so it's fine. dug out the EP this morning and really enjoyed it.
This is like the default song that my brain always goes to and I don't know why. Whenever I DON'T have a song stuck in my head and my brain feels like filling that void, the opening drum fill and riff of that song always pops up out of nowhere and it's been like this for many years. I don't even know anything about Sloan this is the only song I'm familiar with of them, never owned any of their albums or anything. They just occupy a corner of my brain like a bunch of freeloaders.

Read the description and said to myself, "if this isn't 'The Good in Everyone' this person is doing it wrong." Then I clicked the link.

I'm glad it's at least a song I enjoy!
There's this other phenomenon where my GF manages to always open our kitchen trashcan in a way that the lid hits the wall behind it and it sounds like a gong so my brain immediately goes to Jungle Boogie and I'm like "GET DOWN, GET DOWN" :

I have four songs stuck in my head. Shout out to Pepe cause they're all of a Deutschland.
The OG version, but not the official music video. I like this video A LOT though. I miss my funky friends.
The English remake that is equally great. Wonderful arrangements. The added acoustic guitar and the arpeggios are so lush. The music video gives me nostalgia for a promised future that never came.
Yes, the original German versions are still highly popular and well-known in my area. I never liked Falco too much (I already disliked "Rock Me, Amadeus" as a kid), mainly because of his way of mixing English and his affected Austrian German, but "Der Kommissar" has a really cool groove. "Völlig losgelöst (Major Tom)" is one of THE German '80s hits.

This was playing in a store when I was shopping yesterday, and now it may never leave my head.
I generally object to xmas music, but this is actually kinda a crackin' good XTC song.
Bit of a deep cut to make it into the piped-in seasonal playlist... I probably hadn't heard this for twenty (!) years or more.
