Nice board. I have to ask what duties the es8 is playing. Do you have multiple pedals activated/bypassed at the press of one button? Changing the order of effects? Global tap tempo? All of the above?

All of the above. I'm working towards not using manual mode at all and just presets with assigns. It's a little too complex and taking me longer to put together than I had hoped, but the payoff is tremendous when I nail down a preset with some options. Not only do I use the ES-8 for controlling and re-ordering pedals, but also as a MIDI controller. Currently sending MIDI to Particle, Tensor, Hedra, Ottobit, and Future Impact. While I'm still learning some of these monsters, I've set up a few banks of patches that let me toggle what the expression pedal controls. I use different patches within the bank to assign expression to the different knobs. As I discover things, I craft specific patches that let me jump values. For example, I use the Hedra for octave duties, and with the click of a button I can add additional harmonies on top of the octave and toggle between pitches with glide activated for some really excellent sounds. Another great example is having distortion on and then clicking the mute button to kick on the tensor with reverse mode and add in some pitching with it and you go from solo lead to solo insanity. I have a lot of ideas but everything takes time to learn and program. Some day I'll get there. The journey is part of the fun though.

I'm pretty piss poor with cable management. Every now and then something goes wrong and it is a nightmare to troubleshoot and fix. The goal with the newer setup was to have the ability to swap things in and out. Most of the board will be static (as static as a pedal board can be), but I really love the glitchy crazy pedals so I wanted a way to swap some in and out as I explore the catalog of what's out there and learn them. I also have dreams of some day getting the 856 for Zellersasn under MIDI control and having that on the board. That box is the greatest for making interesting and unique rhythms and the possibilities are kind of endless when you start experimenting with AREC. I'm enjoying having that on a keyboard stand to work with my hands. It really opens up lots of possibilities to make intricate music without an ensemble or having to pre-record stuff. I'm all about live and in the moment.

That's a really rad setup.

I realized that I don't really use the Rever too much, so I think I'm going to swap it out for the Dispatch Master I have incoming, which will then give me enough room to fit a Data Corruptor in the effects loop of the Rubberneck

what is the bangeetar like? does it sound like a matamp or is it its own sound?

it's got the vibe of an amp-in-the-box OD doing a decent job of imitating an orange/matamp, but the eq is wildly flexible. it's kind of it's own thing. it's very weird to use (clicky knobs? whyyyyyy?), the boost has no control and is nowhere near boosty enough imo, but it sounds good and brings the heavies. the cab sim out sounds great. the eq is so powerful and tweakable, you can get really specific sounds and not all of them are nice in isolation lol

i just wish i had a 12v adapter for it, or another cioks for the small board, coz i reckon it's a bit better with the extra volts.

Re-arranged the home setup as things are starting to settle w my main board and overall setup. Some changes to the tabletop stuff to bring it all together are in progress. It's taken some restraint to focus on what I've got instead of more of the new and shiny but I'm pretty pleased w the way this setup is shaking out.









Gonna boost this one, put the power underneath and add an RFE to this and probably something else fun from the stash
