Thanks! THe HX Stomp is a killer unit, and comes really handy in these compact setups. Lately I've also programmed quite few ambient/drone patches on it. See it for yourself here, for any HX Stomp users here, the patch files can be downloaded (link in the video description):

hey thanks man
i spent a lot of the winter cutting up uv reflective gaffer tape, it was a pretty good time actually
i probably should have broken down what's on the board since you can't tell at all except for the budda
saturnworks killswitch->
onecontrol white loop->
-red channel: hubcap john beano (amazing), lovepedal twin sixty clean opamp dual boost (also amazing)
-green channel: turnipfarmfx colorsound power boost clone, saturnworks active volume control, budda, buffalo fx germanium fuzz v1, another twin sixty 2 channel clean boost (allows me to match up the channels with 2 separate volumes on each, one for rhythm one for lead)
the board is going into an ampeg from the 60's, which has awesome breakup, but will only tolerate the most mild of overdrives and boosts
not shown in the photo but after the 2 loops go back to the onecontrol white loop, the output goes to the arion stereo delay sad-3. also there will be a boss rc-1 looper in there
i just got a malekko id-300 bright and im pretty psyched to A/B that with the arion. i had an id-600 dark and it was too dark with my amp
maybe someone can tell me.... if i can use the polytune 3 mini as a killswitch, so i can put it at the front, and take my saturworks killswitch off the board
that will give me enough room to put a jhs unicorn on the end of the board

Can you put the power supply underneath to free up some space?

nah it is one piece of molded plastic. but it doesnt take up any extra space really, because it is a gator mega bone (lmao yeah) and there is a space at the top/middle of the board, i have the 1spot velcroed to that space, everything fits in the gig bag just fine. i even used to have a quartermaster 10 along the front edge of the board and that fit in the gig bag just fine too, albeit a little tight if not careful
in terms of the power cabling and messiness.. i dont really care, i keep the cables as neat as i can, and i label both ends of each power cable and have labels on the power jacks on the 1spot to match with each cable

Not too familiar with the Helix/HX series. What would I be missing out on if I went with the HX Effects instead of the HF Stomp? Just the amp/recording capabilities, right? And you can share presets/patches/tones the same way? Patches for the Stomp can be downloaded for the HX Effects, and vice versa,...?

Yes the HX Effects doesn't have all the amp/cab simulations, and the USB soundcard capabilities (both of which to be honest, I?ve yet have to use). Yes you can share the presets the same ways from what' I've understood.
Otherwise they share the same Helix architecture and FXs.
