Here's my "textural ambient" pedalboard, I'm using it with guitars or drone/synths.

very nice - a lot going on there without a ton of pedals.... you ever experiment with a dirt source post Particle?

How do you like the Iconoclast? Thinking of adding a Neuron at some point?

well, if you like it after the Particle (I do, but I tend to like a little light dirt after most delays), then maybe the Neuron or some other dirt source post-Particle would make sense...but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! I only mentioned the Neuron because it seems like it may be designed to mate well with the Iconoclast - might give you some more eq and "feel" flexibility, but again, maybe your sound doesn't need that. Was more curious if you'd already tried it (post-Particle dirt) to see how it worked with the Iconoclast
also, I wasn't so much suggesting you move the Particle as slide some dirt into that spot near the end of the mono portion of your chain. I find that it contributes to my overall lofi goals, especially when I'm using digital/choppy fx, but it also works for stuff that's nor trying to be lofi, as a smoother/blender/gel-er if that makes sense - kind've a cheap way to "master" the sound if it seems a bit stark (Chankgeez nudged me in this direction; thanks Chank!). Of course, one person's "stark" is another's "edge" or "clarity" so feel free to ignore my nosy ass.

Smallsound/Bigsound Mini -> DroloFX Molecular disruptor (using patches that can freeze sound) -> EQD dispatch master -> Red Panda Particle -> Avalanche Run (mostly for the stereo reverb) -> Neunaber Iconoclast.
At the moment I'm layering tracks on the Tascam DP-008ex, staying away from computer.
Been thinking of getting one of those bullet stangs as a project guitar. Whats the word on them?

Imo the lower quality parts (electronics, hardware, tuners, wood, etc) aren't the biggest issue with these entry level squiers. The quality control can be be hit or miss. I might be okay with ordering a high end fender sight unseen, but these squiers can be a crap shoot, so you'll want to try it out first.
Other than that, if it's a project guitar you're after, and you don't mind giving it a good setup, great bang for the buck imo. You'll probably also want to smooth down the fret ends, and maybe put some oil on the fretboard or something. That's based on my limited experience other bullet series squiers, haven't messed with the mustang.
Been actually thinking of doing exactly that myself. They're cheap, and with that small neck they're perfect as a present for a kid's first electric guitar. Looks cool, and doesn't require more than some basic tools&skills to turn it into a fun noise maker.

I see your three always on pedals and raise you something entirely different.

Made up entirely of ILFSS gifts of yore (not counting the Meatbox, which isn't in the chain ATM because it really, really, needs an amp, but it rules and I'm glad it's here.)

It is on bass. And being in the band this board is for I can confirm it rips.
