Enough of this small [board] talk

Updated

No I don't have the loopers hooked up yet. I kneed more patch cables but it all works and is the least noisy layout so far :thumb:
For newer peeps: Chain goes: instrument > switcher > JDI > Tuner > PQ9 > PQ9 > Shapeshifter [stereo out then treble / bass]

Treble chain
Shapeshifter R out > Phat Phuck > Phase 45 > Mini bass wah > Compulator > V-twin > t-rex replica [still waiting on a new T-Rex Replicator Junior from T-rex] > JDI > patch bay > amp [SWR Grand Prix with Lexicon MPX 500 in fx loop]

Bass Chain
Shapeshifter L out > Dexter > Super Russian Muff > Boss EQ > Maxon Tube comp > JDI > patch bay > amp [SWR Grand Prix]

i am always haunted by how your board is evolving and all the parallel signals thing, original and functional at the same time. Probably i have already asked, but why the two PQ9 in series? you just alternate those with two different settings or sum the EQ to totally crank/cut some frequencies?

Yes they are to but used together. Basically it's to smooth out the piezo pickups in the NS bass and cello, the beat up one cuts ALL highs and boosts the warmest of the mid frqs which was great but a bit dull so I added the 2nd one to bring up some high mids first with the highs and lows flat before going into the dulling one  what you end up with and a wonderfull smooth sound when playing with a bow so you can then run it through a bunch of distortion :thumb:

that's an interesting solution, i use my EQ to totally cut some frequencies when i plug my piezo-ed kalimba in the board, but it's placed after dirt because that's where i use it with guitar. Never tried to use it first in line to clean the signal before processing, will do next time. :snax:

Unless something dramatic happens this should be how things stay for the rest of the year.

reverb into super fuzz war into delay into reverb. Don't mess with my wall of sound, uh?

Damn this is actually so sick. This board just makes me want to do big massive fuzzed out reverb swells

Whats that guitar?
