i mean. first batch i bought, was STUPID. not paying attention to what i actually needed. talked over a buttload of stuff with Deltz and Barn Based Darkness and WATCHED ALL THE VIDEOS. i know how to use them SOME, but not near well enough to exploit all the amazebutts things they can do.

I just think about what i want to accomplish with it. I look for specific features and sounds. I watch a lot of videos. I look at pictures of racks from people that make the kind of music i want to make with it (big one). I ask those people or around here. I keep up with the newest stuff and see if it's something i could utilize. Stuff like that.

These are my favorite basic expression pedal, lots of outs.

I've wanted one of those ever since I first saw one on Greg Edwards' board but I never get one when I have the chance.

found something to mount my Ciat-Lonbarde Fourses Tarp onto and built a second Gerassic Organ Almost finished the paper circuit Intersexon s/h current mirror for the Fourses. The Tarp doesn't have the Castle Cuck node so can't try it out with the Intersexon, but soon I'll get into building the Fourses Arpserge and Fourses Tarpterge

Quick thoughts on recent arrivals:

EHX Canyon = Stupid amazing, especially for the price. The shimmer + octave modes are surprisingly nice too and different from what you would expect. Shimmer has this cool slurry/VHS blur over it that reminds me of the Space Station swells and the octave mode is really pleasing in an old 16-bit Zelda soundtrack way. Basic delays like the tape and DMM are very good too.
EHX Synth9 = Tracking is slightly janky, but still very usable. The sounds are decent to rad. Haven't tried any of the synths its emulating in person, so I'm approaching the Synth9 for what it is: oddball, artificial synth shit for guitar and I really dig it thus far.
DigiTech FreqOut = Immediately noticed a treble boost with this in the chain and solved it by using a looper. Not that big a deal to most people and it's only really perceptible with dirt (cocked wah-ish tone), but I just wanted to mention it. The effect itself is fantastic and definitely beats carrying an ebow around. It doesn't sustain indefinitely, though.
