It's like five posters.
We should have an "IloveFlips" subforum for sure.

Sadly it doesn't work properly. It has a great bypass sound, but that's all so far!

Update: last saturday I received a tested and working Reticon SAD-1024A BBD chip and now the 40-year-old big BOSS beauty is alive again. Sounds great!

I heard those are really interesting sounding! Is that the same kind of chip that's in it normally or did you have to get an alternative?

This Reticon chip is the original BBD model of the BF-1 and it was also used in the famous MXR M-117 and the early EHX Electric Mistress. Nowadays the chips are really rare and expensive. My replacement IC did "only" cost 55 EUR. Normally they are around the $100 mark. The Reticon chip is the reason why these flangers have their own sound.

Reticon are awesome!
The CCD in the 680 is pretty cool sounding with synths. (The earlier boss delay was one too). Same tech that's in photocopiers and space exploration cameras.
I believe early Morley and Amdek flangers used the SAD too.
Good find Pepe! (On the chip and pedal).
