Because this is now in our living room, my girlfriend is always saying the same thing and my response is always the same: It does no good to create a music box that only looks cool. The only dreams I have these days, by the way, are of the never-ending corridor variety

I feel like the most important thing is that you’re having fun. If this setup is fun for you to use, then that’s all that matters. Those controllers are nuts! Have you had any custom ones made? If so, how crazy are the prices? If I was going to use a DAW, I’d hope to have a setup half as cool as yours.

These were custom made for me by Yaeltex. For customized, programmable midi controllers, I think the prices are really good, when you consider what all you get.
But as alluded to previously, with programmability comes programming and there are two parts to programming a controller: The controller and what it is aiming to control. What I have been striving for is relatively complicated, at least for my limited mental capabilities it has been, and it has taken a lot of research and labor to get to this point but if it all works the way I originally envisioned, it is going to be Hell Yes Fun.
But you when you say half, I think I might recommend starting with an eighth or a sixteenth

This is work in progress. I need to tidy up the wiring, properly attach the pedals and the LS-2 has the jacks in all the wrong places but I think this is going to be quite a cool board...

Fun exploratory board of Dwarfcraft Dirt...excited to fill that gap this week.
The ECT has become a favorite. The many nuances are really interesting to compare.

this is slightly altered from last year's version which was done before my mental health played up. i just started playing again and have been enjoying doing repeat loops with the Muza. the small board is to relic the sound.
signal path:
small board to left of image:
EH Octave Multiplexer
EH Attack Decay w/Moog expression pedal
Fairfield Shallow Water
Ibanez LF-7 Lo FI
Zvex Instant Lo-Fi Junky
Boss RV-3 reverb/delay
main board bottom tier:
Boss BD-2 Blues Driver
MXR Distortion+ (center left)
Fuzzhugger 3-knob Great Wall
Wren & Cuff Tall Font Russian
Emma DiscumBOBulator envelope filter
Mojo Hand FX Villanova optical Uni-Vibe
Fairfield Randy's Revenge ring modulator
TC Electronics SCF chorus/flanger (in flanger mode) (center right)
i'm having trouble mastering the Ditto, which i don't like as much as my old Aiwa Head Rush 2 which unfortunately is fucking huge. my favorite things are volume swells with the Attack Decay and bell sounds on the RR. and yes, it was a bitch fitting all that stuff on the big board.

I recently moved and took inventory of my pedals. Now its time to combine them into nasty pairs and make noise.

Indeed
On the right side, curious what the top one, middle three and bottom two pedals are?

Top right: Viva Studios Plus Pedal - made by Matt Michel of Majority Rule and No Man. It’s a highly modded MXR Boost with three different diodes (Silicon, Ge, LED). Stacks so well or gives a nice bit of hair to a pushed amp.
Middle three (L to R): Dirge Slowly Melting, MAE Part Garden, MAE Titan. Just three gnarly and unique fuzzes.
Bottom two (L to R): Smallsound/Bigsound Fuck and Mini. Best ODs I’ve ever owned.
Cheers!

I have seen a lot of the EQD Avalanche Run on several boards now - I am looking for an all in one simple verb / delay that I can just easly dial a tone in - Really thinking about getting a dispatch master again. How do you like it?
