It's great! rfurtkamp started a pretty in-depth thread on the new version somewhere around here.
I find it way easier to use than the older version....I even think it sounds a bit better, but I can't say I've tried them side-by-side cause I sold the RE-20 a long time ago.

side note: MXR Poly Blue Octave is cool, it's everything the EQD Organizer wanted to be but just wasn't :thumb:
Must sound fun! Split signal chains is great fun but I tend to reserve it for recording as it would confuse me too much on regular board

Hadn't heard of the Poly Blue Octave! That's pretty neat, does look like a better implementation of the "sound kinda like an organ" idea, from the demo.

Put this together this week, it's been a while since I had a board set up aside from the band one I shared a couple of pages back. That one is very focused and this is more for fun and variety.

Very nice! Good dirt and delay selection!
Pepe wrote:Cool! He even used the enclosure in the usual way so that the screws are on the bottom. Very, very cool! Now I'm even more interested in getting one, if he is willing to do a similar enclosure for me.
I didn't ask him to do the enclosure the right way around. I assume he originally did the face jacks and face DC in because it's easier to house that way, so when I asked for normal top jacks he just flipped the enclosure around. But, yeah, he was very accommodating and built it the same day I ordered. Shipped out on day 2. The free shipping option took only 5 or 6 days and I was charged no import tax or fees because he shipped it as a gift. :snax:

Rhys is really an awesome guy. I'm glad he's back and communicative.

All Zoias, CBs etc. are back in their boxes for a couple of weeks.

Please tell me one of your upcoming albums with these will be called "Polyamorous"
Here you go:

I chose the name because I used the three Beebos plus a Generation Loss II which arrived this morning :yay:

I've returned a few more pedals to the board before I try three Zoias

Nothing new here, but after years I decided to give a twist to the pedal layout on my board.

Here for the small boards

MF Drive here is used as a dark/dirty boost
I absolutely love this board, nice selection while keeping it super simple. how do you like the Tring?

I don't even remember what Hviskelek does, but this board is aethetically perfect. Execpt for the ditto. paint it pink.

thanks, your boards make me want a longsword!

the Tring is great....as a ring mod I love it. As a tremolo, its pretty good but probably won't replace my zvex sonar. like all of john's stuff its really versatile but never ever sounds bland, and has a ton of great settings to find. there are some really trippy settings that are half ring-mod, half trem. it does leak a *tiny* bit of signal in ring mod mode when it's bypassed....but not really noticeable most of the time.

I'm glad you shared that. I can't stand any kind of bleedthrough so I'll be avoiding that one.

It's a Kompakt Kassett with extra bells and whistles. I agree on the Ditto. I got it a long time ago and then thought "I don't need no stinking looper", put it in a drawer and forgot about it until now. Might give it a paint bath at some point, for sure!

Late to the party... but I've recently had a swarm of bees in my bonnet about the idea that I need to get an EAE Model Fet and revisit some of the songs I wrote around 1990-93.

For some of the old recordings I made at the time I think I just used a Proco Rat and overdrove the input of a friend's Tascam multitrack recorder.

I think that's what I did on the right-panned guitar at the beginning of this clip (the rest is found sound fed through
various video-recorders and tape cassette formats (micro/regular tape)) and also for the guitar clouds around 5:20 to 7:40:

Overdriving a Tascam is how I record all my stuff. Beautiful extra grit on everything.

Hard not to agree on this. I sold my first Randy's because of the very same reason.

A small looper can either be the best or the worthing to have on board, depending on the situation.
For me is the best when looping and jam/improvise/layer stuff, and the worst when I need to concentrate on writing stuff and not lose myself in Interstellar ambient weird noises.
