Every time I think about 8 strings and djent dudes I get this urge to put a metalz type pickup in the bridge position of one of my ibanez 6 string basses...
Yeah man. I play all kinds of stuff, I try to actually use it all. It helps I've been playing a 7 string for 20 years, so it's not all low B manure.

Holiday sales just keep coming. The latest impulse buys were a relatively affordable Lovetone Big Cheese clone (built by the official OLC circuits guy) and deeply discounted, brand-spanking new TC Electronic Nova Delay. Looking forward to having modulated reverse delay on hand again.

incoming (at some point when the european dealer gets one to send it to me) grendel drone commander in it's pedal form, and a gristleizer (from norway, so it'll probably get caught in the customs for a period of time). but anyway, hurray! presents for me from myself!
and i'd really want to get a microgranny but there doesn't seem to be one for sale locally, so i'm going to have to postpone the purchase until i have digital money.

I gave in and got a Ventris and a Crybaby mini (it will be my first wah that isn't part of a multi-effect). I should have both by Saturday. Geeked.

And got lucky with the local ads this morning. PRE-DIRT REVERSE REVERB YO!
Also this was acquired through an Instagram giveaway and I'm liking it!

The current plan is to have one switched to fuzz and one to clean, but plans rarely work out so who knows ?
Inspired by this, one of my ambitions for 2018 or beyond is to acquire a second Count To Five "to see what happens".

Just got a Digitech MultiChorus - it is proving to help make excellent angelic choir feedback sounds when wedged between a reverb and an analogue delay, a tremolo and another reverb

First pedal I've been able to get in about six months!
@Disarm D'arcy - I love the reverse reverb on the Digitech pedal - I tend to use either reverse or the plate reverb. Reverse reverb into a fuzz into normal reverb is excellent.

I just got a quad of blue JJ KT88's for my Matamp. I keep blowing fuses so apparently the culprit is a faulty screen resistor in one of the current tubes...hope this fixes the issue and hope I can find a way to get it into the shop before the holiday weekend.

got one of these things cheap today:
an old cassette player/amp with variable speed, 2-band EQ, and audio in/through. seems to work fine, but has noticeably more hiss than my other cassette player. probably won't matter when playing hum filled ambient loops anyway.

Built by Palca Educational Systems apparently. These things were used in schools in the 90's (at least), in gym and language classes.
