Got these in a trade with Goroth. A set of Alumitones humbuckers. The picture doesn’t show very well, but they’re actually gold. I’m not big on gold hardware so we will see if the end result looks good.

It's a sick feeling good day when u can drive to the city to get a free PC from a generous friend and just casually pick up a barely used Warped Vinyl MkII on the way.

I understand the hype, it is justified.

Out: MIT HM-2.

In: Gallien-Krueger ML/E stereo head. Not for the late 80s Iron Maiden tones. Really just to have a solid but not over-powered stereo power section I can use with my rack gear, and the preamp section is just gravy.

I felt worse about under-using the HM-2 than for flipping it. Only regret is not getting to a "Bonesaw" clipping mod for a Boneshaker with the HM-2 around for comparison.

I've played around with this thing for a few hours now. Found some cool settings but still feel pretty overwhelmed at the moment. WHATEVER, IT'S COOL.

Always wanted to try the Senior version. How's the reverb on it?

What's the gain mod? Google is failing me.

None yet, but obvious in principle. Add soft-clippers to the opamp driving the OD-250 style hard clippers, and maybe the germanium coring diodes in series before the gyrators. Might need daughter boards, and a trace cut for the coring diodes.

(Alternate idea is to replicate the opamp Muff clipping array in the same opamp's feedback path, maybe remove the OD-250 clippers, maybe not.)

I need to get a fine tip on my iron and do these before my sight is for shit.

It's not cavernous, although I'd say it's slightly above being subtle. It's kinda weird, like sometimes I forget it's on because it's kind of quiet actually but it definitely does a lot to smear the delays into one another, especially the more you bleed channel A into channel B.
