Seconded on those Toronado pics! Def wanna see that.

Jag should be here tomorrow. My old band mate is coming to visit as well, so I'm in for an afternoon of good drink, cool gear and jams. I can't wait.

Superego should arrive today. Hope it's a worthy upgrade to my finally destroyed Freeze.

I think the superego is fantastic. So much better than the freeze, which is always something I looked at saying "but why doesn't it do x?". Superego does x ( ;) ).

Got my Salt Box in from Catrina Engineering (drodriguez). It riiiips and it's amazing.

Still trying to decide if I should grab the Super Ego Plus. I haven't used my orig one in ages but every time I do I enjoy it :idk:

I looked at both, just had no real interest in the multi-fx stuff. :idk:

Haha that's kind of my draw towards it, being able to have some effects in the loop on the fly, without having to commit my other pedals to it...and the mode foot switch. In reality though, I would end up under utilizing everything. So yea, I prob don't need the upgrade.

I feel like a Superego is just begging for a Patchulator to go with it. I probably would still have mine if I had a Patchulator back then

That's how I feel about it. Cool idea but I put effects in the loop so rarely it's not worth it.

I feel like not having an easy way to patch things into its loop has been my hold up too. The Superego+ doesn’t have the level of control I want over the effects

The envelope on the SE+ is a great upgrade over the standard, but the effects are mostly pretty meh and feel like a bit of an afterthought, imo. They just don't have enough depth and control vs sticking a dedicated pedal in the loop, though I guess that's a worthwhile trade-off sometimes. I'd really like them to come out with a version with expanded envelope/analog filter/gain instead.

That settles it. In less than 5 posts we've convinced me I don't need the plus :thumb:

I should however start using my orig again...might work out nicely on the small bass board I've been thinking about setting up.
You're Doom/other+Throat Locust+DD3/other+SuperEgo = win?

I'd say it depends on how much you value the envelope control, you can get great pads, cello effects, etc, plus the Threshold makes triggering consistently a lot less touchy than the vanilla. The standard actually sounds thicker, though, which may be a pro or a con depending on your tastes.

Win! Small setups rule.
