I got a gcb95 for basically free a couple weeks ago. Plugged it in and instantly remembered why I didn't already have one
easy to mod tho!
That's why I bought one! (and cheap as chips)
I've enjoyed the stock sound in the past but I'm ready to mod if needed.
Yea I modded one years ago. I think changing the range of the sweep and swapping some caps was about as far as I went. Will likely mess with this one eventually when I have some free time...or just sell it

One moth ago I found my long time lost crybaby at my parents house. Took it to band rehearsals and one moment after we were jamming on purple haze, and one more moment after we stopped and felt ashamed of ourselves :picard:

Long story short: put it back in the wardrobe, probably going repeat the same experience 10year from now.

It arrived and it's great!

Obviously I have jammed purple haze already and I'm not remotely ashamed.

From my first ten minutes I don't see any pressing need for modding, but I haven't tried it very loud and I only used one dirt pedal so we'll see.

tired of fixin/waitin for my tube amps to warm up. I want to get a jazz chorus, quilter, powerstage 170 or one of the darkglass amps and be done with it. hearing great things about all of them but I'm not sure which way to go yet. any favorites around here? wouldn't mind going in the hole for a microtubes 500 but that might be too much for now (will probably be a good pair to a v4 when getting raunchy tho eh?). not gigging at the moment but that will change later down the year
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

I always love a Jazz Chorus but haven't tried any of the rest. I'm super tempted by a quilter for myself (and will probably buy one this year) for convenience practicing and gigging.

Seen a bit of love for the Quilters around here lately. JC's are a classic choice of course.

heard super good things about the quilter from a few guys locally.

I still have an AC15 floating about but I play almost exclusively solid state lately. Mostly a First Act V-stack combo set to the vox setting.

You could look into some of the tech21 stuff as well- light weight and pretty rugged.
