Perhaps this is too soon, but I’ve been waiting to reply “dibs on the flip” on this
This one ain’t going nowhere. That reminds me, I probably should part with some stuff at some point.

I've tried it for 5 minutes and it rips!! Thanks Lubdar. :!!!:

Also got a DD-8 from the secret santa '19 folks

What a day!
:!!!:

The Ludbar pedal looks killer (as the demos sounded).
Happy you got the Secret Santa gift, curious to hear what do you think about the DD8 I was wandering of making a super simple 3-pedals board and it's on my list for do-it-all delay purposes.

I've been playing with just Fuzz War - DD-8 for the last two days and I've been playing A LOT because it's such a great setup. :excellent:

Like other DDs the 8 just... Does what it says on the tin. Not all the modes have that much sonic difference (standard, tape and analog have subtle differences and they all do sound really nice but once the fuzz is on they're pretty similar).

And the looper works in a lot of ways that I find really fun e.g. it can be used to record, stop and play back, and also as sound on sound if you record a full loop, then press record again and leave it it's just sound on sound with no decay. Really fun for building up quick noise or fuzzy leads. Plus it's just good to have a standard looper again for jamming by myself.

The more I play with the Fuzz War the more I like it. And the tweaks Lubdar added (mids switch and bright switch) are spot on. Makes every fuzz and filter setting usable.

Pretty boring suppose, but just bought a vintage (early '90s I think) Tama lever glide hi-hat stand. Now for the actual hats, lol. Maybe the wrong thread to ask in, but anyone have any ideas for some cheap but not bad-sounding ones? Right now I'm looking at (used) Paiste Alphas, Dimensions or 505s.

Hoping to get my old Tama Swingstar kit completed by this summer, it's looking to be not as expensive as I'd feared, though I might be wrong... The hardest part will probably be mic'ing and recording the damn thing (also been looking at a bunch of microphones lately  )

Edit: just snagged an AKG D125 :snax:

Yes the sound on sound feature is typical of all boss loopers, super useful for noise walls but also for creating multiple continuous tracks of drones. If only there was a way to set some kind of decay it would be more than awesome.

Incoming: KO Sound Power Boost.

Always wanted to try the Colorsound, (and the Black Forest, which was supposed to be based on the Colorsound Overdrive.) Skully getting one of these tiny but huge-sounding pedals convinced me to put in the order to KO Sound.

Wooooooo exciting. I too have always wanted to try a variant of that (I've tried a Black Forest at a meetup but not the same as having the time to try it out with your own gear)

I’ve always heard very mixed reports of the Black Forest, and I’m unsure how tweaked it was compared to the original Colorsound circuit. Many people reported the Black Forest was very thin and fizzy.

I didn't find that when I tried it (and it's vidret's and he loves it) but maybe it's an amp-dependent thing?

That’s what I’m guessing. Or wrong expectations — wanting an overdrive-to-distortion pedal to be a metal distortion or something based on the manufacturer. Not sure.

Yeah. From when we used it hanging out it sounds phenomenal into a dirty amp. Like out of this world good. Not tried it into a clean amp.

I've run out of things to buy !

That's not true, but I can't think of a single pedal, synth, guitar etc. that I want, so I've just ordered a couple of Pokemon plushes and a Lego Lunar Lander for my daughter instead.
