excuse my little rant but is worth remembering that no matter how shit the world is as a collective, and how shit unemployment can be or how much it sucks you cannot see friends and family and all that, people are the best. And in this case procarstenation has brought this insight to me by sending me his tr-606 for me to mess around with, and it is an absolute gem. I had been going over in my head so many ways of syncing to the DIN SYNC port or the 606 and found out that the analog four has configurable midi ports, that can send Sync24, which is awesome. I could also clock my SQ-1 using the trigger outs on the 606 if I wanted it to be master, which is also awesome. But what is awesomer is that procarst himself included a midi-dinsync converter thing so it would work with literally whatever i could possibly have. :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

Here is a pic of it next to the A4, they make a great team.

Fender Lead II incoming, to arrive 12/17. happy day-after-birthday to me! transparent red with pau ferro fingerboard. isn't "pau ferro" a bit pretentious for what i believe used to be called "ironwood"? in any case i'm kicked...this is the first time i've bought a "new guitar" i.e. (fresh off the showroom floor) since 2013, and the first new electric guitar since 2010. "Academy Fight Song," here i come!

Madeira ferro would be iron wood. Pau Ferro is actually iron stick. Which doesn't make it any better I guess. :D

Waiting for this (uke) baritone telemaster - builder is nearly done with it:

Image

Going to couple it with a submarine pickup on the bottom 2 strings for shits and giggles (and put an octaver on them lows).

Dunno, the U-Bass stuff has my attention. The missus tried to pick up bass on a short scale Epi I got her a while back and it was too hard on her hands to get it going. The moment may be gone, but if it isn’t, I’m wondering about the feel and string tension.
