This really is a great power supply! I have one on my desktop and it powers my synths, sampler and a few pedals.cosmicevan wrote:I'm a Cioks guy through and through, but the DC7 is really a power supply you can get excited about. Fits under any board (I use velcro to hold my power supplies on my boards and works like a charm) and gives you 7 power house outs that you can adjust to any voltage. Plus you can extend to it w a Cioks 8 or 4 for 8 or 4 more outs. If you are into daisy chaining the cioks gives you 660 mA at each 9v out!!!
I mean look at how sexy that thing is...(can charge your phone / ipad too)

just ordered more cables from pitbull. I have an additional power brick that I can chain up my tuner, looper and delay on the board. As much as I would love to have the new power supply now going to have to wait until after my birthday day. I don't mind as its something to look forward too

not a big deal, but i ordered a 3/4-sized hardshell case that fits the 22.5" Duo Sonic, which lets me repurpose the Strat-sized case it lives in to the Lead II. it's particularly nice because being shorter in length than a standard case, i can easily tell which one it is in the stack of 5 rectangular Fender-style flat cases, 3 of which are black and identical to the others. i have to mark them with colored tape to know which is which without opening them all.
i'm still short a few cases, but two of them are for Gretsch Jet guitars which are almost impossible to fit in anything other than an official and officially expensive Gretsch-branded case or an Epiphone Kat case. the 14" lower bout means they won't fit a Les Paul case. you'd think the current boomlet in the 14" thinline market--it seems like everyone other than Fender has one in their current lineup--would create equivalent demand for cases, but i'm not seeing the supply.
this raises the question "why hardshell cases when you never take anything out of the house?"

i've thought pretty hard about that one, but the combination of people's complaints about durability (apparently they go wonky about 1.5 to 2 years out) and the cost when i already have a Ditto and the new ones that store loops are only a tidge over $100 have put me off. two of those new little Ditto units and my EB volume/pan pedal and it'd be instant Fripp/Eno on the cheap...bring up a loop, embroider on it, play over it, cross-fade.

Spent my stimulus on a Mu-tron Bi-Phase II. Looked at the DeadendFX PCB for a moment but I think that's way beyond my soldering capabilities.
Maybe soldering practice should be a goal for this year...

Not the Jive, but I have the Add Violence fuzz from JPTR FX: super cool pedal!Blood_mountain wrote:I’ve got a JPTR FX Jive en route. Anyone else had one?
Also I had to get a new pair of headphones since my old Sennheiser HD280 collapsed after 10 years of service, I went for the Audio Technica ATH M50x!

The Bitquest Gas is growing. But every time I look at my board I am out of power and cables still

I wanted an amp that excels in JG kind of cleans and one that excels for more stoner riffs so I'll switch between both with an ABY and I/O and use the quilter as a power amp and backup/super portable alternative.qersty wrote:CTP plus the beta is so many sounds! Keep rtuckin'
At first I wanted to get a mesa tube power amp or at least a duncan powerstage but it started to get expensive so I figured the quilter will do the job atleast for now.
It will all fit in my gator 4u rack bag making the whole thing very easy to haul around.
So excited to try it when its completed !
