The Aluminum Neck thread is enough to have me put that gas purchase on hold - Right now my eyes are towards going from my headphone amp to an actual class D amplifier.

I really start to see the appeal of Darkglass Products - epically given that the Element has been a huge part of my board and is the gate to all of my pretty pedals. Looking at the Microtubes 900 or 500, if I can haul this thing around and just plug into a friends cab if I go out and jam with others than it maybe my next purchase.

However I just need to learn how to love a sliding EQ. I had one on my B2R and never understood it.

Got some good playing time in this weekend and I did some research on the Darkglass class d heads. Over all it seems to get pretty damn good reviews and even though I really don’t want to like the bk7 or the vintage micro tubes they package it in such a way that it’s easily going to be the amp that lasts me for ever. Plenty of power and if I want too I can just run the compressor and equ and that’s it. Pretty cool.

Also thinking it will handle a baritone guitar which is on my radar in the future - once payday comes around I am heading down to Centuar Guitar to pick up a EHX Freeze and a verb pedal for my coworker who is going to cover me on my vacation

I had the first version and of course sold it because I couldn’t afford it at the time. I still can’t, but I think i would be actually be able to keep it this time. I just miss that warm pillow of sound and frankly giant heavy toggle switches are necessary. SS amps should have more of that. Giant toggles, not those rocker jobs.

I used to GAS for one really hard. How large is that? Hard to tell.
