No joke. I had a pedal with some of this stuff. It was wayyy too strong haha. I didn't even have to press the pedal down. Simply sitting it on the other velcro, it would grab.

yeah, only problem is that my actual board is, indeed, a board, so i can't mount rubber legs becuse the board itself is part of the case

I am slowly coming to the same conclusion, only downside of making mine is that then i 'm gonna have to find a dedicated hardcase that fits (i don't trust soft cases becuse of previous experiences ).

My main problem with velcro is that sometimes it's so strong that it sticks on the board when i try to remove the pedals, the adehesive part simply doesn't have the same force and i end up taking the pedal off while the velcro stays grabbed to the board.

OK, since my spare time is now useless without gear around me, i made a small scheme to see what pedalboard could fit my needs and found out i could use the PT Cassic PRO and everything would fit almost perfectly here, even my giant POG.
BUT, is there anybody that has experience with it? i fear that it's too big/heavy..the one with the hardcase has wheels, but it's HUGE, maybe i should cosinder using two boards and connect them everytime? decision, decisions..

I have not used that one personally, but from my experience of building custom pedalboards+cases for people...I would rather have 2 separate ones!

i realized i already have a spare board somewhere in the rehearsal room. Once we're able to go out i'm gonna grab it and give it a try. Only problem i see is that i'm gonna need another power supply to have stable boards.

I've never come across the need myself, but I have had to use it in the past if that was all the store had.. actually what works well to get them off the board is a thin flathead screwdriver, you just work it around.

digital octavers, I have a Taurus Dexter Mk2 coming [I'm getting really sick of disinfecting boxes] and I want to run my dirt pedal into it because I am bi-amping.. do these [or pogs / wammys and the like] glitch like with a analog octaver? I don't want it to...

you want to place the octaver after the tremolo only on 1 channel to have a panning effect where the tremolo is alternately 1 octave down? interesting

I don't know about the Taurus, but the POG (original) doesn't glitch at all - don't know about the new versions. I always place it pre-dirt because of better tracking on fast riffs, but i used to have a big muff before it and it didn't mess up the signal in drastic ways, maybe it just sounded a bit more artificial (but man it sounded HUGE).
Speaking of tracking post-dirt, to my ears it was surely better than monophonic octavers like the OC-2 or similar, so theoretically it's safe to say that a polyphonic octaver like the Taurus should be able to take a dirt signal without glitching too much, i guess it may vary from one circuit to another.

i tried use also the Red Panda Tensor as octaver (1 down) after dirt and some artifacts were clearly hearable, but that's not a dedicated octaver pedal so i guess it's not a good example

Yeah generally decent digital octaves don't really glitch like analog octave down effects. They might sound very "artificial" but they won't do the jumping around trying to find the pitch thing that analog octaves do when they get confused

Cool! I'm not very worried about it sounding synthetic as I'm really only going to be using ing to add sub freqs to fill out the sound and maybe a little color at times...

Hopefully what I said applies to this one.

But all the ones I've tried, if they don't like the octave down you just get like a pitchless meatbox thump or it glitches a bit. Whereas analog octave down pedals distinctly jump around trying to find the pitch.

I made a few imaginary hypotesis on how could i place the pedals on two bards but i can't seem to find a satisfying option.
Either i put all the big and heavy stuff on the small board, and leave all the remaining dirt/modulation/delay/loop etc on the other one (but this would force me to jump too much since i do a lot of sudden effect changes in the band) or i put all the dirt plus a part of modulation and delay on the big one and leave the other mod/delay/loop part on the small one (but this would force me to change a bit the signal chain and buy another power supply too)
