Chat has been brought up tons of times...and we've had it in the past 2-3 times. Every time we have chat, almost all normal forum discussion grinds to a halt. And then there's no organized, archived logs of the discussion, like we have with the normal forum.

So I think it's best to treat certain threads--especially hangout threads like the random thread, drinking thread, etc--like a chat room.

are we to assume that all the people who love doom will also love fuzz?

that's probably a given. but i think it's salutary to have a secondary URL that says "here's doom fun; come join us." not everybody knows ILF, especially doomsters who are Googling for a place to be.
