Got a pair more filthy devices: Gehrin Enterprises Zerstörer (Dwarfcraft Great Destroyer clone) and Ezhi&Aka Brom.

I got the Meris Mercury X today. It’s as good as I thought it would be.
I also got this bad boy today:

the Wandré arrived. i haven’t had time to do anything but play it for a few minutes. the only flaw i could find is a bit of sloppy painting at one end of the screened F-hole. made in Korea. i’ll definitely need to replace the bridge pickup, which weirdly is a alnico dual coil with each coil talking to three strings that’s extremely different to the single-coil and basically sounds like a brighter humbucker. the single coil runs about 4.2kOhms while the bucker is 8.5! it’s a good-sounding pickup but not what i’m looking for.
the Les Trem is better than i expected; i’ll dial it in tomorrow. its performance is basically similar to the Kay-style trem on the Kondor.
i can’t upload photos because i’m away from home and i can’t downsize them to fit in the 2MB limit on my phone. i’ll do that tomorrow. i’m happy with it so far.

Still pondering how I want to lay everything out.. leaning to a simple two tier atm..

so do you still have/use the other two? are they intended for different uses?

My partner bought herself a Tenor Sax and a Fender 4-string acoustic bass. She's been having a blast making music all weekend.
I've finally started taming my Eurorack and making music-shaped objects. I need a 2 HP Attenuater to tame the Wave Transformer, but otherwise I'm pretty happy. I'm going to have the high school's shop teacher build me a bigger Eurorack case so I can start accumulating the stuff I need to use.

Yes and yes.
The one one the right is for the current band IceBear which is a biamped setup and the left is from our previous band n@meless (with a few changes since) note: both have had slight changes since picture
The new board is going to be for a more generic/ jamming setup.. I’ve posted on it in the board thread..

in the process I remembered why I hate pedaltrains…. I can’t see a point down the road getting one of those EHX 3 way parallel mixers…

had a little time to warm up the Wandré. in general it’s really well-made, better IMO than a good Epiphone. the hardware is very good; efficient closed-back tuners, a roller bridge that actually doesn’t rattle at all (!), and the aforementioned Les Trem. the only drawback i can see to the LT is that i can’t figure out how to raise the spring tension.
the pickup combination is truly odd…the singlecoil neck pickup is distant while the “Single Twin” bridge pickup is right in your face. it’s a good pickup, but i prefer the sound of the singlecoil so i’ll swap them out. maybe i’ll use the Single Twin in some other build…it might be perfect with the Suprocaster bridge PU in the Telecaster i’ll put together after the current projects are all sorted.
the neck is comfortable, and the child in me likes the oversized dot position markers. it has a zero fret which i like, but is another 20-fret neck like the Hopf which i like less.
and it’s another tiny guitar, roughly the same as the Hopf and Kondor both of which i had out for this photo. since it doesn't have an upper horn it should fit in a Mustang-sized case like the Duo Sonic. i should do one with my other Peculiar Guitars, those being the Jetstar and the DeArmond.

i should mention that the guitar arrived perfectly set up…the only thing i had to do was mount the arm on the Les Trem. i guess with Eastwood it’s kind of luck-of-the-draw how the guitars are, most likely depending on where they’re made.
in doing research i found out why Goldo decided to make Davoli pickups…apparently Dieter Gölsdorf, the guy who owns Goldo and Duesenberg guitars, is a Wandré enthusiast, owns more than one, and decided to make them because he wanted that voice to be more available in the world. he also makes aluminum replacements for the “W” logo that used to adorn some Wandré tailpieces. there’s a very interesting article on his blog about a Wandré exhibition and convention in 2015 where he was a featured speaker.
now if only he made a repro of the gorgeous minimal trapeze tailpiece used on some Wandré models…
he also sells a tremolo using the same works as his other trems—there’s long and short versions for use with hollower guitars—in a Jazzmaster format which could be the answer to my trem-for-the-Galaxiemaster question. i could use the Bigsby B50 that came off the Electromatic Double Jet, but the Goldo would have more of a European vibe that’d go with the Höfner pickups.

i’m still leaning towards changing it out, but backing off the bridge pickup makes the pickups sound more compatible.
here’s a product page for the singlecoil and Single Twin pickups.

I believe I'll sell my Flying V and buy an acoustic 12 string instead. Prooooobably the current production Fender Villager 12.

i highly recommend Alvarez jumbo 12-strings…i’ve had mine tuned to concert pitch for 15 years and the bridge ain’t moving at all. it’s an odd design, but damn is it ever stable. IIRC it was a Stupid Deal of the Day on Musicians Friend, something like $315 out the door.

I put an offer in on an ATV aFrame “electroacoustic” synth drum/hang drum and it was accepted. I had one before but I sold and have been missing it for a few years.
I have a electronic duo thing starting up in a few months and I think I want to focus on this, an iPad and a few fx as my rig for that.

Very cool I’ve always wanted to try one of those things

I’m glad you like your guitar! Those pickups are very stylish I like them
