I love to hear some high quality clips of the Spaldo. It always interested me, but I just couldn't take the risk, which is the same for the other Verellen amps.

I definitely want to do an extended demo of it for everyone, because there are only 3 demos online, anywhere and they are all less than 3 minutes.
Going to (hopefully) go over to Grrface's next week and record some decent demos

Initial thoughts: It's WAY SUPER LOUDER than I expected it to be. Right now I have it loaded with 5751's in the preamp which cut about 30% of the gain. I'm going to swap in 12ax7's and try it out with that as well to see how early it breaks up. Right now it's a pedal monster! But I've only got it at about 1 in my small little apartment.

My nightmare Peavey project I just wrapped up. Was a P.O.S China 6505+ 112 combo I scooped off craigslist for under 2 bills. Talk about poor quality materials, this thing was basically held together by the crappy tolex it was wrapped in, and the corner pieces that keep the original build held together for the most part. Chopped it up, bias modded it, re-tolexed in sonic blue, new 6L6EH power tubes, and a Weber Amsterdam 12 to top it all off. The Towelie inspiration came from the frequent breaks during the salvaging of the shit materials, which involved multiple sessions with my Luke Wilson x Alex K mini tube. Happy for the most part, now just need to get everything all broke in.

Don't forget to bring a towel.
