That one looks nice. 50 bucks sounds sweet as well. You sure it isn't cursed by a gypsy?

At first I was like, "Dude.....I don't think you know what a reverb tank is...." then I saw the springs hidden there  !

That's actually really interesting, I've never seen an amp do that before.

Dude that is rad.
Where'd you score those knobs?
They look like big versions of the old boss/roland type, is that right?

Here's my baby. The Peavey Vulcan! It sat in a shop for a really long time. I'd tried it out before but it sounded like it didn't work. Turns out it just needed a little cleaning up. The footswitch it came with doesn't work. I still need to try and fix it or see if someone can build me a 3 DIN switch pedal. Maybe something smaller..

Supposedly this one's from 1972 or 1973. That's according to the guy at the shop. I don't really know about that. I haven't been able to track down much info on this thing not to mention I've never seen a Vulcan with this logo before. The few other pictures of Vulcans I've seen all have this big futuristic font going on outlined with a box.

I have it running into some cheapo Randall 4x12 that I think has v30s in it. I haven't had the time to crack open the back and have a look. Sounds great though! I'm hoping to take this amp in to get serviced cus it could still use some more cleaning and a new plug. Wouldn't mind switching out the jewel lamp either.

I know there's like one other guy with a vulcan on here that had his modded by Bear.

Local place called "You-do-it electronics" has a shelf of knobs, some old, some new, and they have a bunch there. Next time I go I can check for a brand and PN for ya, I paid like $1 each or so.

My amps. No where near as elaborate or massive or "wow" as others.
Main amp is the little green one, its a United made in Kitchener Ontario. Hates dirt, but cranked it sounds like Rawk and is plays well with dynamics. The Trace is new, I needed something for bass and Fender rumbles and SVTs weren't getting the sound I had in my head.
