Chank, come back - Brewerytown awaits :(

I will ask about what brought me here in the firstest place: the legend of United/Code. I love my Stewart Orphonic so much, but I'd love a longer scale even betterer. Do you know of a relatively comprehensive source of info re: the brand names United built for? How about thinline full hollow bodies? Any like that around?

Also, doesn't this look a lot like your Regal (inlays aside)?

It do. It do.

Sadly, I know of no such comprehensive trove of United/Code info. :( The info is scattered all across the internet.

I will keep lookin' for somethin' though.

Nothing works. best just remove the whole finish and start again.

Hey Chank, have you ever tried an agate slide? the things keep calling but it's a question on mojo or snake oil..

I've never tried an agate slide. Tried most other common slide materials: glass, ceramic, wood, metal…

I've tried stone picks though & haven't liked 'em. :idk:

Agate's probably too heavy for the guitar I've got here with me now. :( It's probably worth a try though. :snax: Isn't too expensive.

mixing fuzz and chakra's might be interesting though... I guess you could try by getting a egg shaped crystal and using it like a slide for a vichitra veena :idk:

Well, I had been considering using a controlled blast of micro-fine shrapnel, but you've already saved me countless hours with your finishing advice, so I'll just go with what you said
