Luckily, I was informed of this hot mess by a good samaritan.

The OP bought one of my pedals from a dealer in 2014. He emailed me afterwards complaining about the dealer. The problem was that he didnt like the packaging and wondered if the dealer was lying to him when he was told that the pedal is not supplied with a printed box nor any additional paperwork. I informed him that was indeed true.

Fast forward to approx 2 weeks ago...

I received an email from the OP asking if I had another unit available in a certain color combination. This combination has been out of production for a couple of years. At the same time, I received an email from the dealer he contacted initially looking for this pedal. The dealer emailed me to ask if I could help his customer, to which i replied yes, please send him my way, I'll try to help. So, I told the OP that I didnt have that specific combination, but I did have a unit in my personal stash(unbuilt, I was saving for myself for a later date). He agreed that the color was fine, and we proceeded. pedal was quickly built and shipped.

A few days after OP receives the pedal, he emails asking about the box. I replied that I do not double box pedals. OP quickly replies back 2 or 3 times in 15 or so minutes about being disappointed about the box..( mind you, he already knew the protocol from 2 years earlier, which I realized when researching his email address in my old emails). At this point I sensed that he was a little off and said if he wasn't happy, please return the pedal for a refund. I did not "demand" he return anything. Apparently this incensed him, it wasn't what he wanted to hear.

Pedal was sent back, refund was given the same day I received the pedal back. He accused me of "dragging it out" and sent multiple emails in a row, no punctuation, full of run on sentences, and generally incoherent. I knew the dude was pissed off because I didnt honor his indignance. This is particularly related: He said he'd see me in the forums and then called me an *******..That's where the "forum" thing came in, and he , not I made the "threat" of posting this in a forum. I replied, please do. Please post all of our emails when you do.

We had a string of back and forth emails, it got ugly.

Yep.. I let him have it. I dont regret it at all. Dude is a jackoff. I stand behind everything I said..particularly this statement, which is my final reply before blocking his sorry ass.

Certainly anyone can have any opinion about this that they would like. Maybe you would handle it differently, fair enough. Is it worth a .50 cent box, not at all. Am I going to allow anyone to call me an ******* and not reply, definitely not. I called him out on all of the inconsistent and incoherent things he said to me....as many of you have astutely arrived at the same conclusions that I did.

I understand that he is posting on all sorts of forums trying to smear me. I will not be going to any other forums to explain this fiasco, this is it. My official statement. On my new home for periodic forum ramblings and needs.
Please feel free to copy/paste my remarks to any other forum the boxtroll is looking for a tissue.
