I did whole foods for a year. It's a lot of work and planning, but I felt great, and lost a bunch of weight. Too much weight actually. My doc told me I needed to gain weight. I was doing crossfit type workouts everyday too. So I started eating more of everything and started strength training. Only large muscle group exercises; squats, bench press, standing press, dead lifts, and mixing some cardio in.

I've actually packed on about 10 lbs. Some muscle, some fat.

NO bueno.
My wife gave me the go ahead to enter a bodybuilding competition this coming up year. It's something I've always wanted to do. I'm going to join a team, find a coach, and hopefully get somewhere cool with it. At least I'll have done it.

Right now I'm 205 and 5ft 8. I have been bulking for about a year and a half. My goal is to get down to around 185-190. Shouldn't be too hard. The hardest thing is not going crazy when I have to deplete slightly. I'm going to try and be as clean about it as possible too. I don't want any stimulants or shit like that. I do take creatine, cla, fish oil, protein...stuff like that. Oh and I'm taking Pre Jym, but it'll be interesting to see what a bodybuilding coach will say vs. what I was taught.

If any of you team members want to lose weight, here is all you need to know:
Stop eating processed foods. Yep, it is really that simple.
Eat meats, fruits, vegetables, eggs etc. If it comes in a box or a can or has more than 1 ingredient don't eat it. And when I say meats, I don't mean cold cuts which have all sorts of crap in them. I mean fresh meats.
Drink water, coffee, or tea and avoid soda etc.
Exercise is great, and I recommend it, but just remember you can't out-run a doughnut. Your food intake is the key. The #1 exercise I recommend are "fork put-downs".

All this. Be more conscious! Food is fuel, you need nutrients and vitamins to function at your best!
And your sleep habits have a lot to do with it

shit i keep forgetting to use up my creatine, i've got loads i've gotten for free. 205 at 5"8 is sweet dude, i'm around 200-205 as well but i'm closer to 6"2 so you'll look way bigger. I wouldn't want to drop past 190 myself though.
update that shit, i wanna hear it/see it. got any pics you feel like showing?
I'll see what I can do.

I'm down for progress pics for sure!

I hate what stress does to my body. I lose weight like crazy, regardless of how much - or what - I'm eating. I'm down 10 pounds this month, despite nonstop pizza and beer.

My girlfriend has lost twenty-five pounds in the past three months we've been seeing each other. Simply from good diet and staying active. I've also regained a six-pack.
Talk about a ..."healthy relationship" xD
