It's cool. Kind of like a skipmin, but also similar to yep or something along those lines. It can give and take clock, and the four gates out can be used for whatever, clocks, vca and fx activations, separate drums, etc. The refresh input keeps it randomizing, since the randomness settles into a pattern if it's not refreshed occasionally.

I do know that we should be good until early 2019. That's when it's going to go down. Hard to say at this point if they'll shit can me or keep me around.

Still haven't decided whether or not to dump all the euro.
Man sorry to hear that. I’m in Austin and the same thing just happened to me a couple weeks ago. I was the second highest paid employee and the first to go after the merger after 9 1/2 years with them. We were on track for another huge increase over last year so I definitely didn’t expect it but that’s the corporate world for you. I’m about to sell about $10k worth of gear on Reverb in the next few weeks for anyone interested (modular and guitar stuff).

Anyways, the days of Ruiner are officially over. Downsizing and focusing on specific gear moving forward (I know some of you will be happy about that part)

If anyone knows of VP of Operations or Director of Sales jobs in Austin, Colorado, Oregon or anywhere really, let me know!

Wow. That fucking sucks guys. I'm really sorry to hear both of you having job troubles. :(

At least you have gear to sell and hopefully not struggle that much.

I got stuck in the tutorial after layering about a billion random drums on top of Izzy. I could not escape and rage quit. Will try again tonight. Initial impressions: caused me to rage quit. RIYL: throwing your controller at the TV.

Sorry to hear that, dude :(
I've been at my company for 11 years in June. Luckily I'm an underpaid "manager/grunt/utility man" so I think I might be ok.
But I am about 70% sure I'm going to dump the euro and focus on the Elektron boxes. As much as I love dicking around and making cool noises.

Since we're all sharing I quit my job last year like a dumbass before I had the next one guaranteed with everything signed/sealed/delivered (which of course fell through) and I've been looking since.

Shit's depressing as hell. I feel for everyone who is going through the same stuff. About a month after I left, the company fired like 40% of the workforce anyway but still... advertising is a garbage industry. The unfortunate thing is that it didn't really help me in my actual discipline of being a developer. Now recruiters expect me to go back to another ad tech company when it's the last thing I want to do.

Oh well.

Thankfully I've been successful in selling most of my shit. I have about 10 more modules to go before I can be satisfied that I don't have excess modular shit just laying around.

Also JFC muffwiggler get your shit together. These outages are so annoying.

Ahh Muffs is down again, yeah? That really blows for people trying to sell stuff. FWIW though, I think the last time it went out is because the guy who runs it was having health problems. Hope he's ok.

I hear ya on the advertising thing—I work in motion graphics and the last 8 or so years have been a rollercoaster, as I was freelance until just the end of last year. Now I've got a staff thing and the stability is nice, but it's a crazy adjustment working so much.

Are you ever like "man I wish I did something practical that people actually needed, like carpentry?" I know I am, haha...

EDIT: In retrospect, this was an insensitive jackass comment... So just gonna delete this part. Sorry.

Also, hope Mike is okay. Still wish MW could beef up the system a bit more.

Man, I hate hearing about the job issues. A couple of years ago the company that I work for was acquired. The Monday after it was announced we had what we called "Black Monday" - tons of people let go probably 300 out of 1000 employees, maybe more. At the time I was technically in the Marketing Dept. but was told that my team was safe, fast forward a few weeks and my team all got pink slips.

I ended up unemployed for about 2 months and I had a baby on the way...freaking stressed; I did get a good severance that kept us afloat. I was moving forward with taking an okay job at some random company and I ended up getting wind of a nice opportunity at my old company. I was hired back and that has lead to several other great opportunities, currently I am leading a team of 7 but that is temporary. The money is great, benefits are good (thankfully they kept my original hire date for vacation weeks, etc).

I guess my point is - good opportunities will reveal themselves I believe. Shit is stressful when something surprising occurs but I think you all will end up in a better place.

Also, yes - I hate when Muffs goes down. I am always in the middle of trade or something...SUCKS

This thread is scary as hell! I’m always scared that I’m going to be let go. I work in a weird area that’s neither business nor IT, and it’s stressful because I’m the only one in my area (so, it feels like they keep me as long as I’m useful).
