Four more Blobs are available for preorder!

Just so you guys know, the toy they use is called UCreate Music. I got one for $20 off eBay. Not sure that they're too rare or that they changed much from the original. If it's worth the money for you to have it in a new enclosure, have at it, but I feel like it's kind of underhanded for them to not say the name of the toy. And $300 seems kind of steep since they just rewired it into a new box.

But maybe I'm just bitter because I've been too lazy/inept to do it myself.

You are absolutely right. I do not name the toy because I don't really think it will change anything. The Blob is really a rehoused and guitar-suitable Ucreate Music as it is stated in the description (except for the name part). I'm sorry if I have left anyone down with this product. I just think the ones who know about this toy and know how to suit it for pedalboard use will probably not buy the Blob. The ones who don't at least have this option to feed a greedy russian guy with their bucks, then wait a bit and have it on their boards ready to be played with.
If you think I am providing any kind of false info on the Blob etc please let me know and I will do everything to fix it. I have no intention to let anyone down.

Exactly [...] The first rehouse and mod was done 2 years ago for my buddy Ezhi who slammed the hell out of this pedal during his performances and that is why I desided to release this one - i never trusted the blob to be used by feet. but it succeeded and that is amazing.

So is the Blob literally a rehoused unit or are there other changes made? Obviously you had to add pots to it, which is not standard. Did you do any changes to the circuit?

To be honest, I had no idea it was a rehouse and am not sure now. I don't generally like purchasing rehoused products unless there has been tweaks made to it to make it unique.

I sorry if I have misleaded you in any way. Basically ucreate is not supposed to work with a guitar or bass so there is a buffer-mixer circuit there to provide this functionality. The whole blob thing construction is tweaked to be sturdy and work well with your feet. The prototype has been tested for nearly two years by an active musician, nothing broke. The powering curcuit as well as some additional filtering was also added. If you think a rehouse is just "puttung the same thing in another enclosure without any additions or changes" - then it's not the case.
The info about "being based on an old toy" was always present on the website.
Nevertheless this is completely my fault so if you don't want it anymore I can return your money.
Btw all your pedals will finished in time and shipped to you. You are going to have a very nice collection of very unique pedals, mate.

Nah I just wanted your input as to the rehouse. I've done many rehouses, and I know that they can be an extreme pain in the ass. So I was just curious. Maybe I came off a bit harsh, my apologies.

It sounds like you did a lot of research and development on this in order to make it work with bass/guitar. So I'm good with it! Still want it!

I've got a whole Ezhi & Aka pedalboard coming basically! LOL!!! I can't wait!!!!!!

I've scavenged 4 more toys and these would make the 4 last blobs. I was never sure about this idea and only the fact, that Ezhi has been using the blob for so many gigs and nothing broke but everyone asked about it helped me get started on the blobs. I have never wanted any kind of blobgate like this so the production will stop after these last 4. Sorry, guys, never thought it would cause anyone any trouble.
