An attenuator because 4 watts is too much? Or because you can never have enough overdrive?

gets more than loud enough for my intended use of recording and/or playing around the house....dunno might gig with it too cause I'm rather pleased with its sound and the gigs i play amps get mic'd anyways. for 4 watts the attenuator is a nice touch if you want to dime it and get lower spl. like my other 5 watters it doesnt have a lot of headroom but there is a pretty usable range. sounds pretty delicious dimed though. havn't tried any fuzz with it yet. really happy, dealing with Matamp was a real pleasure too. they refunded me some money I'm guessing for VAT(not 100% sure how that works), or the shipping was less than they quoted or whatever, they refunded me more than I wound up having to write a check to the nice ups lady for.

yeah i love slammin an amp thats overdriven with fuzz, thats my plan with the minimat anyways. turns out its got a really nice coloration and dimension to its sound, and it breaks up in a very pleasing way. it came with JJ tubes, and i prefer to roll tubes to tailor the sound how I want so that should be fun too.
