I'm really hoping to get in on the next batch too. That new layout looks a lot easier to use to me

856 on Reverb for $410.

I was going to get it but I'm going to chance my luck of getting one of these new versions.... with how many times I missed it , this has to be my time!

Oh man, I would have bought that in a heartbeat. I love the old layout.

The updated manual for the firmware that shipped on the ones from a few weeks ago. there are a few small differences but it is mostly the same.

Please let me know if any scratched or dented units will be available. I am a home of misfit pedals that need love.

Looks like these are the differences:

- Recording start/stop now activates on stomp instead of release.
- Can make N2, N3 note repeats swing when holding down Uni and adjusting triangle knob (no swing at 12oclock)
- Don't have to wait for loop to cycle to hear changes adjusting the gain knob
- MIDI Clock Sync added

This is helpful. The manual seems a bit daunting to a person who doesn't even
have the pedal itself. I'm sure all functionality explains itself in action. And the
differences in the update pop out to one who has the first version.

Just from pics the new layout of version2 seems to be more orderly (for a mind
regarding it from afar). Exciting to see what clips people create with these pedals.
I'm all ears.

Wonder if the next batch will be George "I was in the pool" sized...

Or, when you see it, it scares you sized...

I think the recording start stop still works the same as on the original?
Recording works as follows: press and release the left footswitch to start recording. Press and release it again to stop.

I'm so annoyed seeing this redesigned version when I just bought the "laid out by a blind person" version that I might sell mine. I feel kind of taken advantage of - first my 2015 CT5 that was left in the dust by cool revisions and now this "actually logical" layout two weeks after I bought an 856 with no indication it had already been overhauled. This is bad business.

I'm stoked to get mine back, with the old layout, and start getting to know it. It's still got all the same sounds, and even if it didn't, updates and revisions are one of the coolest parts about mtl.asm imo. I'd take an out of date pedal over having the ideas in the Ct5 sit dormant any day.

First of all, I personally find the current layout quite aesthetically pleasing, and once you figure out the workflow, its not really a hinderance any longer. Second, builders/companies aren't really indebted to you in any way when it comes to releasing information about forthcoming products.

Sell both of them- one at a huge profit to you- reinvest in the new versions. You'll end up turning a little profit. Doesn't sound like bad business for anyone in the equation.

Cars, phones, Klons, etc- things get updated. It has nothing to do with you or your purchase, and besides they continue to provide updates for those pedals- that's amazing.

You also get to use them. :idk:
