I want to play Fallout 4 Far Harbour, but I'm like 3/4 through my second DS3 playthough and I can somehow see a third playthrough happening...Oh well, maybe I can hold out until a few Fallout 4 DLCs come out

I want to get Uncharted 4 but I also kinda want to finish Dark Souls 3 (I think I only have one boss or area left, it looks like it at least) and start another playthrough to see what I missed in the first one...

While it's pretty fun, I don't quite get the praise for....what.....2 game modes?

I compare it to Destiny, which I loved..........It had pretty good PvP, multiple modes, AND it had a campaign/story. While the story was vague/generic.....I still enjoyed that quite a bit too.
I love loot games so it also did that well (sometimes).

YET! it got shit on and still gets shit on.

Overwatch comes out to 98/100 reviews with 2 repetitive PvP modes. I'm just saying it feels empty.

It has less variation than a game like rocket league!

It's Team Fortress 2 with way more variance in characters. It's about the characters, not the modes. The dynamics come from team makeup and cooperation.
I'm under no delusion that it is more than what it is, but it is a very, very good version of what it is.
MOBAs have one game mode, and people love the shit out of those. :idk:

I don't know if I'd say people "love" MOBAs, at least they don't act like it when playing them.

I want to buy Doom and Overwatch, but I really want a GTX1080 before those.

What do you have? I run both doom and overwatch on ultra on 'only' a gtx 780. They run extremely well.

No Man's Sky is delayed again. I've kind of lost the little interest I had in it now, I didn't know any thing about it and now it's even further way. :idk:

Yeah, these cards are useful if you want to do VR stuff or you want to play on max settings with higher than 1080p resolution... Otherwise anything more than a 970 or so is kind of wasted...

I have a GTX670 and a Dell u3011 monitor. 2560x1600 is what has me concerned a little.

Yeah at that resolution, an upgrade would probably be welcome if you want to play on ultra high settings.

Kind of wish I had waited for the 1080 as I've read the 900 series really isn't ready for VR. Currently I have no plans to get in to VR but I'm sure I will eventually.

Did you buy a 900 series card from EVGA?

I have a 2560x1440 monitor. gtx 780 runs overwatch at that res on ultra just great. for doom I put to 1080p on ultra. the antialiasing is so good on that game anyway that I didn't think the drop i nresolution mattered much.

Bench marks for the 1080 are seemingly not enough to justify the price and it seems that the 1070 will do just as much cheaper. According to Kotaku, anyway.
Plus there's speculation that with those two dropping soon 980s will plummet in price, so I'm gonna wait til June and see how low the 980s get. Hopefully I can snap a Titan on the cheap, even.

It's budget time.
