And it does also sound very noice, since it's a TS-808 style pedal. Normally I dislike Tube Screamers, but I'm almost really digging the sound of this one.

What's it do that's especially rad?

Very nice picking dynamics, a really nice warm sound with the added switch (it removes the low-end loss as well) plus lots of headroom. I tried several Tube Screamers (the best one being the TS-9; haven't had the chance to try an original TS-808 so far) and this little guy is the only one that could almost win my heart.

But I'm a BOSS OD-2R and KORG OVD-1 fanboy. Those pedals don't have that distinct mid-hump, thus leaving my overall guitar sound intact.

Yeah, as stand alone overdrives go I much prefer the OD-2R sound. But TSs and the like are great for giving an amp or a pedal a bootfull!

Is the OD-2 very different from the 3? I like that it has a footswitch jack and I wanna try other boss overdrives cause I ike the OD-3 alot

I always heard that the OD-3 is an improved BD-2. So I think there should be a huge difference.

dagon shame it's a starved plate design - seems especially pointless with the gain factor available in an EF86, but these looks are teh sexx for me
