How long before Pokemon Go pub crawls become a thing?

When I was in high school, Pokemon was just starting to become popular. I was absolutely clueless as to why almost adult people would be playing such childish games. LOL. I mean, I get it now, but it's still funny to me. I love kiddish shit too, but Pokemon is probably one of the dumbest ass things I've ever seen! hahahaha. Give me a fucking Dragon Ball Z game and I'm happy though. :)
It's just a simple, pick up and play, collecting, turn based game - there's enough simplicity and enough meat if you're a weirdo and really want to take it super seriously. I haven't beaten a Pokemon game in about 14 years but It's the kind of thing where you can play until you get your fill and move on. I don't get the rabid fandom, but the series is perfectly designed. :idk:

I'm so confused by Pokemon go. I've caught like 2 dozen Pokemon over the last day just by scooping up whatever is around me every time I get on my phone. But what do I do with them? I guess I have to go find a gym and battle people? I loved the card game in third grade so this has great nostalgia factor. Just not sure how to actually play haha

GF spent three hours on a one hour drive playing Pokémon Go. And she took a 5km walk today just to catch some more. I don't think I should play it.

Dude. It's pretty fun. I was a gym leader for a few hours after winning some battles. Then some dude came in like 20 levels above me and crushed. My little eevee had been holding it down!

I hate being salty about Pokemon Go, but I am because I always wanted Ingress to get the level of interest PoGo is getting. Some of my fondest memories revolve around keeping my team's turf in a that game. Ingress is way better as a game, but I can see why Niantic dialed it down when adapting it as PoGo. :idk:

You can trade the pokemon you catch in to the professor in exchange for "candies" then you can use those candies to evolve/level up your pokebros. I'm level 14 and I've already caught 50/137 currently available. I have a feeling it's going to take a lot of wandering to get the rest of them... Anybody got any tips on where to look for shit? Should I go to cemeteries/graveyards to look for ghost pokemon?

I love pokemon. I have cards (taught my wife to play), pins, even the special 20th anniversary *new*3DS. And I am so "..meh.." about GO.

I get it. It's neat. I just don't care that much. I'm busy trying to complete a living pokedex in Alpha Sapphire before Sun and Moon drop, which I am totally excited about, and don't need or want another format of collecting them.

Found out my building is a landmark, so wooo unlimited pokeballs! Scratch that- my building is 2 landmarks ahahahaa

At least Niantic got the rights to do the game. It would really suck if they came along, stole Ingress' concept and just made it more popular by name recognition rather than making a good game by someone who has been doing the same thing.

Wow, that was the worst article I've ever read. Literally regurgitating what everyone knows then tagging on the title of the article at the end with no detail. This is what passes for journalism these days?

Fucking clickbait. Whoever wrote that should be ashamed.
