To be fair, yes one could have worked that out for themselves upon the premise of the game.
I'm not involved in Pokemon at all, and I just heard about that whole thing on the radio science show I listen to this morning.
I also linked straight to that article without reading it, but new scientist the magazine (physical print edition) is pretty ok to read?
Most news now is click baity. It's frustrating.
Edit: the information about the developer's direct links to the CIA is a bit disturbing, as is the stuff about muggers waiting at locations. And I'd heard reports about people being led to known biker club hqs. Which is kind of funny more than anything.

Yeah it is!
And the lady won't download PoGo (copywrite patented, tote's came up with that just now, fuck off, it's mine) to play with me (giggety). Even the prospect of walking around drinking didn't sway her...

I went ahead and downloaded Pokeman Go. I wanted to see what the hype is about. So far I've caught two Pokeman's (LOL) and found myself frustrated that I can't find more in my house. hahahaha.
I had to make my name JWAR666 because the stupid game kept saying "user name not available" regardless of what I'd put in.
I'm going to catch me some Pokemen though. I want to get my kids doing it. Would be fun.

Some of my fondest memories revolve around keeping my team's turf in a that game. Ingress is way better as a game, but I can see why Niantic dialed it down when adapting it as PoGo.

Nope. Inconuucl said it a page ago.

I've only put 8 hours into Overwatch and I haven't played it in 2 weeks or thought about playing it.
I need a new game that I care about, I've finished Mass Effect 1 and 2 again and will probably go on to play the 3rd. Mankind Divided cannot come soon enough.

You're lucky, I've been playing 3 hours a night of Overwatch. I would have never guessed I would like it.....

I've been having fun with Salt and Sanctuary. 70% Dark Souls, 28% Castlevania, 2% original things. But it works, most of the time.
I have to play the new Tomb Raider next (bought it already), I really liked the previous one.

The CIA links are laughable, whomever wrote it has no idea how investing or venture capital works.

How did I not hear about that? Sounds great! Also cool that you can plug the NES controller into the Wii controller to play the virtual console games.

Overwatch has resurrected my interest in FPS because it's so nice, bright, and different than all the drab shit that's out there. The major problem with OW is the lack of maps. They're adding (added for PC) a new hero, but without a map that doesn't excite me.
I haven't been back to OW in a couple of days, I've been vacationing in Los Santos again with the new races. Love the capability they added to literally make any track you want (I look forward to real world tracks) without being tied to existing geography, but I'm unpleased with how much they broke some of the racing classes with poor balance.
The stunt races are pretty fun, but the amount of shit content kids are going to dump into the world on August 2nd is going to make it unpossible to find anything good.
