Overwatch has resurrected my interest in FPS because it's so nice, bright, and different than all the drab shit that's out there. The major problem with OW is the lack of maps. They're adding (added for PC) a new hero, but without a map that doesn't excite me.

I haven't been back to OW in a couple of days, I've been vacationing in Los Santos again with the new races. Love the capability they added to literally make any track you want (I look forward to real world tracks) without being tied to existing geography, but I'm unpleased with how much they broke some of the racing classes with poor balance.

The stunt races are pretty fun, but the amount of shit content kids are going to dump into the world on August 2nd is going to make it unpossible to find anything good.
I tried out Ana last night in PTR, pretty fun character. Not super DPS, but with proper cooldown management you can 1v1 people. Then go heal your entire team. Then snipe a few people. Then prevent them from healing.

Yeah, new maps would be really good.

I have no vested interested in Pokemon but if what vid says is true and it lacks all these things, then fuck that.

I don't understand how PoGo works. LIke I just walk around and find them? You don't have to wear them down like in game?

I know there's gyms and what not, but how am I supposed to level up my boys to fight in the gym? Do you actually sit there adn pick powers turn-by-turn? I'm too apathetic to try anthing out, and I'm too lazy to just go watch one of the over 9000 youtube videos about this so I'll just sit here and demadn someone else explain it to me.

As for Overwatch, I'm a member of the console lazy race, and don't have Ana yet. We get her Tuesday. And the GTA race update is absolutely phenomenal and I cannot wait to see talented community members make good stunt races and better yet real tracks without being restricted to geometry. R* really added a new dynamic to their game.

all they had to do was include world interaction, have you fight pokemons, they lvl up as you win battles, trading, pvp, turn based battles.

There you go. game of the century. but no. and i don't even care about pokemon that much, i watched the show a bit as a kid, never played the games except on some of my friends gameboys, never bought any cards even.
aka all the had to do was make an AR pokemon game...

PoGo = walk around swiping balls at pokemon. You get candy for catching them. You use candy and some other shit to level them up or evolve them. Gym battle seem like you just tap the screen a lot? Haven't figured out how that shit works. Whatevs. It's exciting when something other than a zubat or pidgey shows up.

Uhhhhh... I'm going to have to preorder one - Nintendo is the master of under supplying.

Honestly though, I never had a NES/SNES - because being young and having no money stops you from playing games. So aside from the occasional game port onto another system, there's an entire generation of games I've never played. Though, i'll just replay the games that I have already played before. :poke:

It's cool they're doing this so you don't have to rely on Emulators - and I don't think that 95% of people under the age of 30 have played most of games legitimately

Dude what?
We had a NES, it was rad. My parents were cheap and didn't get one until the price dropped after SNES was announced.
I'd totally get one of these for my kids.
Where's the Zapper for Duck Hunt?
Plus Battletoads and Star Wars better be available, along with every fucking Zelda.
The price of cartridges is going to skyrocket....more so.

And all you kids that don't get what "blow and tap it" meant back in the day are about to get schooled.

It was something we did to get a carriage to load if it was being finicky. :picard:
The struggle was fucking real.

My first Nintendo console was a Gameboy on my 9th Birthday in 1999 along with Pokemon Blue.

EDIT:
People are super salty about these Mini NES for some reason... I really don't get it :idk:

I've got one of these set up in my living room and it's pretty fantastic.

The Mini NES seems cool and all, but here you get EVERYTHING and it's not too hard to set up at all.

The Zapper needs a CRT tv/monitor to function, not many people still have those around in good shape.

Eh, it's a lot to ask of people (who wouldn't be so inclined) to mess with a raspberry pi, emulators and roms. Nintendo's shit being plug and play is pretty tight. Really hope they do a SNES, some day.

I think they're a cool idea.

I don't have time to DIY, plus it's gotta be simple for the kids, so the mini NES is dumb and cheap enough to tick all those boxes.

Ah true! Thanks man! Things I didn't know.
Ah well, castlevania and Zelda will have to suffice!

I am totally with you on Battletoads, it took me so many tries to beat that speeder level. Super C will have to do since they didn't include the original Contra. It seems to hit all the big games I remember playing as a kid.

I think I read that the new NES controllers can be plugged into the Wii remotes if you have retro games on the Wii, pretty cool.
